I’m looking at putting some serious action on Washington to stay under 85.5 and our guys to stay under 14.5, so if anyone out there actually knows what they're talking about and wants to drop a comment, I’d really appreciate the insight 😉

Looking at the last four matchups between Philly and Washington, we’re seeing some seriously heavy betting trends that should have everyone paying close attention. If you've been following the action lately, you can see how these games have been playing out—it's like watching a predictable pattern emerge in a storm; once you see the clouds gathering, you know exactly what kind of weather is coming. I'd say anyone looking to jump into these games needs to tread carefully and stay cautious, because the momentum shifting between these two teams is becoming hard to ignore.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are basically the squad Kobe Bryant struggles against most in his entire career—his average sits at just 22 points against them... so, honestly, it doesn't seem like a bad idea to take the under at those odds, even if he decides to go out and drop 40 again... who can actually say?
I’m leaning toward taking Philadelphia and the Lakers on the spread; Washington is, to put it mildly, a mess, plus Philly is coming off a brutal loss to the Knicks, and while Cleveland is decent, I just don't think they have enough gas in the tank to really push the Lakers around. They’re playing their fifth road game in a row and coming off a big win against Phoenix, whereas the Lakers are currently riding a seven-game home winning streak.
Anyway, that’s my logic for tonight's slate.
Philly +12.5 @ 1.85
Lakers +10.5 @ 1.85

Regarding Kobe, I honestly fail to see the point in forcing his scoring numbers when it is patently obvious the man is just bitter about being ranked the seventh best player in the NBA... and he's playing this incredibly foolish, solo style of basketball because of it... 🤷

boldgull20 said:Man, looking at those last four Philly-Wash matchups... honestly? It’s getting a little sketchy. I mean, if you look closely, there's some seriously heavy betting action happening—like, suspicious levels of money moving right before tip-off. I’m just saying, maybe keep an eye out and watch your back with these ones. It feels a bit too much like they're playing for something other than the scoreboard, if you catch my drift. Just a heads-up to stay cautious.
I’d probably lean toward the under along with Washington's guys—honestly, Philly just isn't looking like the same squad they were last season. Their defense has tightened up big time this year, especially when they're playing at home, and if you actually bother to look at the stats from their recent stretch—including that last road game against New York—it's pretty obvious. On the flip side, Washington is kind of a mess right now; they struggle to find any rhythm offensively and don't really rack up many buckets, so an under feels plausible here. I'm not saying go all-in and bet the house on it or anything—nothing's a sure thing—but in my book, the under feels way more realistic than chasing the over.
Wait, hold up—why the hell is Indiana sitting at 1.65?! 😲 I mean, looks like we aren't getting Bargnanin in Toronto after all—at least that’s what the rumors are saying, anyway...

Has anyone actually tried emailing them about this brain-dead offer yet?
🤣 🤣
Man, I’d love to meet whoever actually had the mental capacity to put that offer together—it’s honestly fascinating 🙄
I mean, seriously, first time I've ever seen lines and coefficients set up like that...

Charlotte vs. Detroit
My pick: I'm leaning toward Charlotte to clear the 89.5 point mark at +105 odds over at DraftKings
Stake: 6/10 ☕

Just checking in—I reached out to them around 2:00 PM. The response I got was that their bookmakers approve the offer, but apparently, the odds and betting limits depend on a whole host of different variables.
I basically told them they should just put out a standard offer—something like what Staples does—but apparently, that wasn't "profitable" enough for them.🙂
I stopped posting after that—realized there was no point in exhausting myself trying to explain things to them...🤣

Why is everyone freaking out over these spreads today? Looks like someone got absolutely fleeced on the lines, so now the whole crowd is twitching. 😁
Another possibility is they’re just testing the waters to see how we react. Maybe they’re planning to roll out alternative point totals, like more spread options per team or extra prop bets in basketball... probably unlikely, but I'd love to see it happen. ☕
edit: after what Terry Cook48 posted... looks like it's definitely the first option. 😍

On the flip side, Washington is struggling quite a bit and they aren't exactly lighting it up from the field, so an under feels plausible here. I'm not saying you should bet the house on it or anything, but in my book, the under feels much more grounded than the over...
The rosters are pretty much identical, so the under makes sense to me too; I actually have it on my slip already.
I agree with you, though given those reasons I wouldn't suggest putting too much skin in the game.
Plus, both teams are coming in fully rested.

Tom Thibodeau says he is "hopeful" Derrick Rose will play tonight. "He's feeling a lot better."

I’ll just interpret that as "Derrick Rose is playing."
Chicago -7.5 at 3.30. The landscape shifted instantly; Chicago went from 2.10 down to 1.85 the moment this news hit the wire.
Right now, Boston's biggest liability is their rebounding. By pure coincidence, that happens to be one of Chicago's primary strengths. Paul Pierce is still struggling to find his rhythm following an injury, Kevin Garnett is playing increasingly far from the hoop, and the only members of the Big Four actually performing up to standard are Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo.
I might include this in my full analysis. I really like this pick. 😬

so I told them they should just offer standard lines like DraftKings would, but apparently—get this—they said that wouldn't be profitable enough for them...🙂
After that, I just stopped typing because I realized there was no point trying to explain things to them... it's like talking to a brick wall. 🤣
🤦
I mean, obviously I’m talking about the sportsbook here, not you 😁
@boldgull20 yeah, it doesn't work for higher stakes, that much is clear—especially considering that last point you made...
Anyway, ended up putting some action on the Mavericks, Lakers, and Pacers to cover the spread. ☕

Terry Cook48 said:so I just told them straight up—just put forward a decent offer, something like what Starbucks would do, since they claimed it wasn't worth their while....🙂
And it took them six whole years to figure that out—six years after they already had a solid roster of players ready to go.🙏🙏 🙏
It’s a classic case of a massive government-run corporation... nothing surprising there, really.🤣

The Bulls' Derrick Rose is still rocking a walking boot due to that toe injury, yet he's claiming he'll be on the court tonight against the Celtics (per ESPN, 8 PM).

The odds for Indiana just took a dip in the SS app—went from 1.65 down to 1.55... I guess people are really starting to pile in on them.

They probably had some people betting it just to drive the odds up. 😁
I forgot to place my bet on the way home from work—now I can't be bothered to head down to the local lottery outlet.

Everyone is forcing the under. 😬
