Good luck

Man, he took 22 shots and just couldn't find his rhythm... only hit 8 of them. A pathetic 36%.

😳

...22 shots and exactly 22 points 🙂 ...and get this, he drops 12 baskets in the fourth quarter alone (he had 1 point at the end of the first, 10 at halftime, stayed stuck on 10 through the end of the third, then suddenly this guy decides to wake up in the 4th), and with 4 minutes left he’s sitting on 22 points and then nothing else happens (well, he missed one three, and they benched him a minute before the buzzer), god I hate this. By the end of the third I'd already mentally accepted the loss, and then he starts feeding me hope just to rip it away right at the finish line. What a joke.

...that was pure torture, I swear...🙂 😬 🙂

analoghound21 said:Man, talk about efficiency—22 shots taken and he walks away with exactly 22 points. Just a straight-up one-for-one ratio. I guess that’s one way to run a stat sheet, though it feels almost too clean, right? Maybe he was just feeling a little extra methodical tonight or something. Either way, you can't argue with that kind of math. 🙂 I mean, seriously, what was that? He drops 12 buckets in the fourth quarter—after being stuck at just one point at the end of the first, only having 10 at the half, and then basically disappearing again to stay at 10 through the end of the third—and then suddenly, out of nowhere, this guy decides he’s actually going to play basketball. Just when things finally start moving, he sits there with 22 points with four minutes left on the clock, and then absolutely nothing happens for the rest of the game. I mean, sure, he was missing some threes or whatever, and the coach pulls him with a minute left, but man... I hate this. By the end of the third, I had already mentally accepted the loss, and then he just dangles hope in front of me like that, only for us to end up getting totally screwed in the end.

I mean, it was definitely shadowjackal27—he swore it to me, 100%.🙂 😬 🙂

Look, panda—let’s just call it quits on this whole conversation. No point in even wishing each other luck anymore... honestly, we're both probably gonna take a hit on this one anyway. 😢 Man, Miami absolutely wrecked me on that one—I’m sitting here feeling pretty stupid now that I realize they weren't actually going to lose. 😠

Maybe 🤣

It’s actually pretty fascinating how these types of lines at 1.50/1.60 odds consistently bust. I remember seeing this all last season. You’d think if the spread moves from 22.5 to 24.5 and the odds drop from 1.85 down to 1.50, it should be a lock... but life isn't that simple.🤣
Personally, I haven't seen a line hit that low and actually cover... and I don't mean a small dip from 1.85 to 1.70, I mean dropping this deep. Why it happens? Who knows.

I was basically waving goodbye to my money once the DJ dropped those two back-to-back three-pointers right at the end of the second quarter. 🙂

Plus, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James completely missed their dunk attempts.

Just a cool 10 points down. 🤣

Arthur Hill2 said:Casual betting today, serious business tomorrow:

Blake Griffin is an over (he put up 22 last time; now he has Chris Paul coming in to provide those assists, and he dropped 31 against the Spurs last game).
The Pacers (figuratively speaking, Toronto is rough, but the Pacers crushed Detroit at home even with a subpar starting lineup).
Tony Parker is an under (I have no idea why, perhaps because he mentioned he doesn't expect the Spurs to be contenders this season, or maybe because he's being protected defensively by a solid Chris Paul?).
Miami -9.5 (I highly doubt the Bobcats will manage to keep the Heat within a 10-point margin).

Odds are 8, stakes are minimal.

Good luck to everyone, though you might want to follow someone else tonight 👋!

I love Miami 😢

Griffin finally delivered a decent performance.

Thanks. 👍

The odds on Portland seem a bit thin for my liking—though the over on Oklahoma-Dallas looks interesting.

Just sitting there with 10 points 🤣

And man, when he hammered that one off the glass to close out the first half—holy crap, what a moment 🙂
and then LeBron goes for the slam, but the ball somehow clips that Hornets player right in the head and bounces out of the rim, yet the refs just stood there like nothing happened 🤷

Just how things go. 😢 Man, Miami absolutely wrecked me. Now I’m just sitting here kicking myself, wishing they’d actually stayed down. 😠

🤣 So that's how it's gonna be? Fine by me. If that's the case... well, enjoy your next draft pick. Hope it's worth it. 🤣

Man, I really feel for you on that pick. Tough break. 😢 Look, what are you even supposed to do? Sometimes things just click, you know? You’re on a roll, everything's falling into place, and you feel like you could take on the world. But then... bam. It stops. Suddenly, nothing works. You try, you push, you grind, but it just won't go. There’s no logic to it. It's just one of those things where sometimes it works, and sometimes it absolutely doesn't. That's life, I guess. Just a series of "it's happening" and "what the hell happened?" moments. 🙂

shadowjackal27 said:It’s possible. I mean, anything can happen in this crazy game, right? Who knows anymore. 🤣

It’s honestly wild how those heavy favorites sitting at 1.50 or 1.60 odds just... fall apart. Every single time. I’m still thinking about that absolute disaster run from last season. You’d think, logically—if you actually had a brain—that if the line moves from 22.5 up to 24.5, and the odds drop from 1.85 down to 1.50, you're looking at a "sure thing," right? Wrong. Not even close. It’s almost funny, if you don't lose money on it. LOL.
Honestly, I haven't seen a pair move like that before... And I’m not even talking about those little shifts where a line drops from 1.85 down to 1.70. No, I mean a massive, gut-wrenching slide like this. Why does it happen? Man, I don't know. I really don't. Just one of those things that leaves you staring at the screen wondering what the hell just happened.

I still haven't gotten over what happened last season. I remember sitting there, staring at the lines for LaMarcus Aldridge, thinking he was a lock for the over. I finally get my bet in, ready to ride, and the second I hit submit, the margin jumps up by like two whole points. I’m sitting there fuming, cursing my luck, and in a fit of pure, unadulterated spite, I decide to pivot and throw an under instead. And of course—because the universe clearly hates me—it ends up being the under. Just my luck, really. Always happens. ☕ But even so, it was still a total collapse—just on a different front. 🤣 😳

Man, I really feel for your pick—but hey, what can you do? Sometimes things click, sometimes they just don't 🙂

And seriously, I guess I started out just like you, picking all those Spanish players 😂
And man, Monta Ellis totally screwed you over too—one layup, one easy bucket, anything... but no, it had to be right at the 22 mark 🙄
Anyway, it'll be better next time... and honestly? I'm rooting for you to miss your next analysis too 🤣

Alright, catch ya later everyone... I'll be back typing soon

I placed my bets on Dallas and the Knicks today.🤷

The Sacramento matchup is pulling at me too, especially since Cousins might end up frustrated by those unprepared big men out there. Regardless, they really shouldn't be letting a game slip away when they're up by 8 or more.

And yeah, Ellis played you for a fool too—one layup, one easy floater, anything... but no, he had to settle for that 22 🙄
Look, things will turn around next time...

If he’d actually had the chances, he would've taken them... but man, he choked on the layups, missed the free throws, whiffed his first five jumpers, and the list goes on...😳

I hope your next analysis falls flat on its face, too 🤣

thanks ☕

later 🙂

Sacramento pulled me in too—Cousins is going to be out there looking unprepared with those big bulls in the paint. Regardless, they shouldn't be losing by eight or more.

Cousins is a problem—he’s fast for his size and weight—so this should be interesting. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to bet on Sacramento for the first half (or even just a quarter); they might start strong and then fade out. 🤷

Anyway, how did the Warriors look last night without Curry? Asking you, since you probably caught the game. 😁

I’ll get a damn proper analysis written up later.

Honestly, I'm leaning toward the under here. He hasn't been shooting much through these first two games, and since they're facing a tough road trip, I'd say the Kings +7.5 should probably cover.

James Taylor3 said:DeMarcus Cousins is a handful; he’s incredibly quick considering his size and weight, so this should be an interesting matchup regardless. It might actually be a smart move to let them run hard through the first half—or maybe even just the first quarter—on Sacramento, as they could really jump out to an early lead before eventually fading out. 🤷

So, how did the Golden State Warriors look last night without Stephen Curry? I'm asking you since you were probably tuned in. 😁

I caught the game just about two hours ago. Honestly, neither team looked particularly sharp; the Golden State Warriors were mostly kept afloat by Rush's effort. They entered the final quarter in a complete deadlock, but then Monta basically carried them to a win over the Knicks. Melo was absolutely struggling, missing the rim entirely on several occasions.
I can't say for sure, but I'm actually feeling pretty good about the Golden State Warriors right now. They're showing some decent defensive grit, and even Kwame is proving to be quite a useful asset. 🤷
Stephen Curry should be back for the next game, hopefully. 🤷 Though, if you ask me, I’d probably trade him. 🙂

The Golden State Warriors play such an incredible, high-octane style of basketball—it’s honestly perfect for us neutral fans who just want to watch a show. Ellis absolutely tore through the Knicks in that fourth quarter, which was wild, but then you look at Melo and he was just totally unrecognizable. I guess we'll see if he can actually find his rhythm today against the Lakers.

It was a dead heat heading into the fourth, then Monta essentially carried them past the Knicks single-handedly. Melo was struggling—unbelievably sluggish, missing wide-open shots all night.
I don't know, I'm actually fine with where the Warriors are at. They’re showing some defensive grit, and even Kwame is proving to be quite useful.🤷
Curry should be back for the next one. Hopefully. Though, if you ask me, he’d be better off being traded.🤷🙂

Interesting... I think I'll catch that fourth quarter later this afternoon.

I heard a rumor that Melo might be dealing with an injury... though I'm not certain about Ellis.😁

It’s a beautiful day to chase those under bets—some folks are out there following their little "systems" today, while later tonight we’ll actually sit down and try to deconstruct the minds of those coaching wizards who think they can steer their squads to a win... Just throwing some things out there, my first gut feeling is LAL - NYK, then maybe HOU - SAS, and I've got a tired OKC squad facing Dallas as my third pick.
