Charlotte +10.5. Honestly, this is a team that can definitely pull an upset if they feel like it. They played New York last time, and let's be real, New York has been all over the place lately. They barely scraped by Washington, a team that Minnesota absolutely tore apart while dealing with a massive injury list and a super thin bench.
I’m calling this one over 202.5 points. New York is giving up about 104 on average at home, and Charlotte is actually putting up 113 when they travel.

Philadelphia over 94.5
They haven't gone under 95 points yet this season, which means they're sitting at a perfect 7-0 on the over, and looking back at last year, they dropped more than 100 in both home games against Indiana while most other teams stayed much lower... it's not like Indiana is some defensive juggernaut or anything, but their current stats seem totally unrealistic since they're technically sitting as the third-best defense in the league allowing just 89.2 points per game. I say they're unrealistic because they've only played teams that consistently go under so far—mostly struggling squads like the Bobcats, Raptors, Cleveland, Detroit, and even Boston—so things should eventually balance out once the schedule levels off, hopefully starting with today's matchup, especially since Hibbert's availability for Indiana is up in the air, and if he doesn't suit up, they're going to have a massive headache protecting the rim...

Philadelphia vs Indiana over 184.5 @1.85
Someone already did a deep dive on the Philly over, but honestly, I think Indiana can hold their own. Expecting both sides to push this toward 200 points total.
Toronto vs Minnesota 2 @2.25
The odds here look way too high for the value we're getting. Minnesota is looking solid with KLOVE being one of the best players in the NBA right now, plus Rubio stepping up as a playmaker. Toronto has been pretty inconsistent lately.
New Jersey vs Atlanta (-5.5) 2 @1.85
New Jersey looks lost without Lopez, while Atlanta is playing well despite a couple of "WTF" games recently. They've got shooters ready to go, and I don't think this handicap is too steep. If Deron brings something special, they should cover.
New York vs Charlotte over 203.5 @1.85
New York is finally finding their rhythm. Once Baron is back on the court, they'll be a real problem. Charlotte caught them off guard a few days ago, so I'm expecting some revenge and a high-scoring run & gun game.
C. Anthony over 26.5 @1.85
Carmelo is carrying this squad. He's been hitting the over almost every night—he even dropped 30 when they lost to Charlotte. Plenty of reasons to take this.
Odds from Premier.

Is it just me, or did the odds for Atlanta just tank?
I swear they were sitting at 1.60 earlier, now we're looking at 1.45?

William Price66 said:Granger is 90% OUT for tonight—food poisoning.
Given how poorly he's been playing lately—and considering we have a decent bench option—this might actually work out for the Pacers tonight. 😁

Comment: Looks like Granger (dealing with food poisoning and an ankle issue) is a total toss-up for Monday's matchup against the 76ers, according to ESPN reports.

Already seeing a decent analysis for the Philly over up there, but honestly, I think Indiana can put up a serious fight too. Expecting both sides to go over and hit somewhere around 200 total points.
Toronto-Minnesota 2 @2.25
To me, this looks like way too much value given the odds. This year, Minnesota has K-LOVE, who is easily one of the best players in the NBA right now, plus Rubio playing as the new playmaker, which is actually working quite well. Toronto is just being inconsistent.
New Jersey-Atlanta (-5.5) 2 @1.85
New Jersey is playing catastrophically without Lopez, whereas Atlanta is doing fine despite having those two... I don't know how to describe them... "WTF" games lately. They have shooters ready to go, and I don't think this handicap is too steep. If Deron doesn't step up with something special, they should cover.
New York-Charlotte over 203.5 @1.85
New York is slowly finding their rhythm. Once we see Baron back on the court, they’ll be a real problem. Charlotte caught them off guard a few days ago, so I’m expecting some revenge here—probably a total run & gun situation.
C. Anthony over 26.5 @1.85
Carmelo is really carrying this squad. He’s been hitting the over almost every game; he even dropped over 30 when they lost to Charlotte. Plenty of reasons to take this one.
Odds from Premier.
Aren't you a little worried about the Philly-Indiana over? Philly has only allowed an average of 67 points at home through two games so far. Plus, with five questionable players for Indiana, if they end up relying on the bench with only three rotation guys available, they might struggle to even hit 75 or 80 points. Their top scorer Granger and their best shooter Hibbert are both listed as questionable.

Quick little update here: Sutkey and Villanueva are officially out for the Detroit Pistons, and Handy is still looking questionable.
Handy is barely hanging on by a thread.😬

So, following that intel from Arthur Hill2, how are we feeling about this parlay for a moderate stake?
New Jersey-Atlanta Hawks 1,45 2
Chicago(h-13,5)-Detroit Pistons 1,70 1

Looks decent enough to me. I need to get my money on the live action ASAP. 🙂

I have the same feeling that this might be a fluke, but you can't ignore a 14-point lead—that's just how the NBA works. Good luck to everyone, regardless.
#855 ·
I’m hoping they can hold their own against Indiana. After seeing how they absolutely dismantled Boston on the road, I really think they have what it takes to give Philadelphia a run for their money.
#856 ·
Chicago is definitely a tough place to play, but I just couldn't bring myself to take such a massive handicap on an over/under set at 176-177 points... It’s a good sign that they dropped their last one, though, because hopefully that means they'll come out playing a bit more aggressive, but since this is the first game of a brutal back-to-back-to-back stretch, I can see the fourth quarter turning into a situation where Chicago rolls out their third unit while Detroit just plays whoever happens to be heating up that night... if they can actually find someone like 😁

Where are you guys tracking live player stats right now? It looks like Love is already sitting on 8 points after just the first quarter... which is looking pretty good for the under... assuming he actually keeps up this pace, of course.

I think it'll be a struggle for Love to hit the over. He's struggling in the paint—just one layup so far, and he's 2 for 4 from the line. If he hadn't knocked down those two quick threes at the end of the first, he'd only have 4 points right now.

Love looks desperate tonight; I could smell it coming, given his field goal shooting is 3-16. I’m sticking with the Hawks through the end—fingers crossed they don't let me down, especially those of you holding the Chicago advantage. Melo also went under 🙄
