Lump on my finger

About three weeks ago, I bit my finger hard enough to cause some serious swelling and a pretty deep laceration... I ended up seeing a doctor for a sepsis shot, and when I asked about the wound itself, she just told me to leave it alone. Now, three weeks later, the scab has finally fallen off and the swelling is down, but there’s this little hard lump right by the site, maybe half an inch across
Anyone have any thoughts on what this could be? Perhaps the inflammation hasn't fully subsided yet...
Should I head back to the clinic to get it checked out?
