From what I've gathered from everyone else—it seems like he charges some people and just doesn't charge others. 🙄

Glusac wasn't the only one I sat down with for consultations—there were several others in the running—but honestly, this guy told me more via email than all those other doctors did during our actual face-to-face meetings. (And he was the only one who didn't charge me just to talk.) What I loved most about him was how he simply asked what I wanted, told me "we'll do this and that," and that was it. He actually carries himself with confidence, unlike most of the other doctors who just kept droning on about how risky everything was, or how it might not turn out the way I envisioned, or how complicated it all seemed. My nose had already been messed up at least four times before this surgery, so everyone else was pretty shaky about the end result... well, everyone except Glusac..

It really seems like he’s the go-to specialist for these kinds of nightmare cases. If I recall correctly, plenty of people on this forum with similar issues ended up seeing him specifically—you know, the ones whose noses were already broken, crooked, or just a total mess!
In my case, thank God, it isn't anything complicated, just purely aesthetic. I feel like any of those surgeons could do a great job because they're all experienced, but man, picking the right one is such a headache!

From what I can remember reading here on the forum, a ton of people with really heavy-duty issues—I'm talking about people whose noses were basically structurally compromised or dealing with severe hunchbacks—all ended up heading straight to him.
For my situation, thank God, nothing is actually complicated; it's purely an aesthetic thing. Honestly, I feel like any one of those surgeons could nail it for me since they're all seasoned pros, but man, picking just one is such a headache!

If you're just looking at the looks of it, my advice is to book a consultation with whichever surgeon's work actually clicks with your vibe first. If you walk out of there and just "feel" it, then stop overthinking it and pull the trigger.👍

I’ve been looking closely at Glusac and Bastaic lately, and honestly, I’ve done my homework on both. With Glusac, I have mixed feelings about his aesthetic—some of his noses look incredible, while others just aren't my vibe, which is exactly why I need to get in for a consultation first. I actually visited Bastaic recently (I mentioned that before), and I wasn't totally sold on everything; plus, he was being pretty stingy with showing me photos, though luckily Kate Taylor59 sent some my way. Apparently, he did an amazing job for her, and from what I hear, he specializes in those natural, straight profiles that I'm actually looking for. My biggest headache right now is that I don't live in the States, so I don't exactly have the luxury of flying around to see every single surgeon. But I’ve decided that if Glusac's style clicks with me during the consult, I'm going for it—otherwise, this whole plan is probably dead in the water.

amberbadger81 said:Both Glusac and Bastaic were on my shortlist! I’ve done quite a bit of reading up on both of them. With Glusac, I have mixed feelings about certain noses he's done—some look lovely, others... not so much—so I really need an initial consultation with him first. I actually visited Bastaic recently (I wrote a post about that earlier), and there were a few things that didn't sit right with me, plus he was hesitant to show me his portfolio photos (except for the ones Larlar sent over). She had a great experience with him; apparently, he specializes in those natural, straight profiles, which is exactly what I'm after. My biggest hurdle is simply that I don't live here in the States, so finding the time to visit everyone isn't easy. But I told myself, if Glusac's vision aligns with mine, I'm going to him. Otherwise, this whole thing might just remain a dream.

They were both top contenders for me too, though I found myself leaning more toward Glusac. Personally, I find it reassuring when surgeons who are going to be working so intimately on your body exude that level of self-assurance. I reached out to him and sent over some photos; he mentioned that my nose looks a bit bulbous and doesn't quite suit my facial structure 😂. Once I can finally swing the trip—most likely after the summer—I plan to head down to Miami for a consultation. I'm honestly counting down the days until I can start looking like a real princess 😍

I’m probably not going to take too much of a gamble here... I finally decided to go see Dr. Glusac for a consultation instead since he's closer to me. Because honestly, imagine this: I drive all the way down to Miami, he shows me the surgical photos, and I'm just sitting there thinking, "Yeah, no... that is definitely not what I'm looking for." 👎
I know everyone's anatomy is different, obviously, but you can pretty much guess the kind of nose he'd try to give you... I've seen some of his work, and Glusac seems to have a tendency toward giving most people these wide tips. So, yeah... I'm feeling a bit hesitant about it.

So, I had my rhinoplasty back in March with Glumičić, and honestly, it was such a massive letdown. My nose looks pretty much the same as it did before the surgery; the only real change is that he lifted it slightly, which actually made things worse because I have this bulbous, potato-shaped nose, and now it just stands out even more. It’s honestly awful—I dropped $14,000 on this, and it feels like I just threw that money straight into the trash. I have a follow-up appointment next week, and I’m planning to tell him straight up that I want a refund since he didn't deliver what he promised. Not a single one of my friends even noticed I had surgery. Every morning when I wake up and see how swollen my nose still is, I just spiral into this depression; I can't even stand looking at myself in the mirror. My appearance—specifically my nose—really affects my life, but in a totally negative way. I hate talking to people because they end up staring right at it. I went into this thinking I’d finally be rid of this burden, but instead, I’m just shocked by how little changed; all that struggle was for nothing since there's basically no result. He didn't even give me a proper explanation, which felt weird too. Anyway, does anyone know how much time needs to pass before I can go in for a revision? I just can't accept staring at this flaw for the rest of my life. This isn't just a physical issue anymore; it’s really taking a toll on my mental health. Has anyone else here dealt with a bulbous nose and had surgery? Who did you go to, and were you actually happy with the outcome?

Kate Taylor59 said:I’m not going to go all in on this gamble. I’ve actually decided to head over to the Mayo Clinic for a consultation with Dr. Glusac instead—he's much more convenient for me. Honestly, just imagine the scenario if I drove all the way down to Miami: I'd get there, he'd show me the scans, and I’d just be sitting there thinking, "Yeah, no... this definitely isn't it." Not worth the headache. 👎
Look, I totally get that everyone’s situation is unique, but still—you can kind of guess what kind of nose he’d end up giving you, right? I've been scrolling through some photos online, and it seems like Glusac tends to give most people that wide tip look. Honestly, that part just really bugs me... it’s a bit of a bummer to think about.

That’s exactly how you have to play it. First, go see the guy who’s closest to you, and if things just don't click or he doesn't "get" you, then you move on to the next one. You gotta keep looking until it feels right. Good luck with Dzepina!!

Sandra Nelson14 said:I had my rhinoplasty with Glumicic back in month three, and honestly, I was so disappointed...

Oh man... I am seriously sorry to hear that. 😢
You should either demand your money back or insist on a revision surgery. If things are actually looking the way you described, you have every right to push for it.
My only bit of advice is to hang in there just a little longer, because swelling takes forever to go down. It’s only been three months. If your nose feels narrow, those bones definitely had to be broken, and it can take about a full year for that callus tissue around the fracture sites to settle down. And as for the tip? Mine stayed swollen for like five or six months straight.
Still... even at the three-month mark, you can get a pretty good idea of how the final result is going to look... and if you're already this unhappy, that's usually not a great sign.
Some surgeons say you need to wait six months before a revision, others say a year... Honestly, Glusac would probably just jump back in and fix it immediately. 😁 It really just comes down to the individual doctor.
Anyway, please keep us posted on what happens next.

Look, I’m no medical expert, but my take is that you could probably go ahead with the surgery right now. Usually, when someone breaks their nose—whether they do it themselves or someone else does it to them—some kind of absolute mess happens, and they pretty much head straight to the operating room immediately. So, honestly, I don't see why there's any point in waiting around, especially since your nose is just going to end up broken eventually anyway...

I sent Glusac some photos via email about two weeks ago and haven't heard back yet... I know he's incredibly busy and honestly seems a bit scattered 😂 but I'm still dying to know what his take would be... it feels a little silly to follow up with another email, because if he actually had the time, he surely would have replied by now... 🤷>

When I finally got an email response back, I was honestly just thrilled that he even bothered to reply, let alone provided such a detailed answer 👍 but don't go thinking that guarantees my nose will turn out looking right... maybe it will, maybe it won't. Honestly, you really shouldn't get hung up on what kind of doctor someone is—whether they're charming or prickly, whether they're responsive or not... just look at the work itself. Though, I have to admit, Glusac actually earned some extra points with me because of this! 🙂

No, no, I didn't say that his silence was a negative thing for him in my eyes... I’m just saying I feel bad that he didn't get back to me. I'm honestly just curious about what he would have said... Anyway, I'm planning to head in for a consultation around mid-June, but I suppose I'll just have to be patient until then 😉

I tried holding my breath while breathing through my mouth today, maybe for about 3 minutes... I can safely say my throat still hurts quite a bit 👎

stormyharbor2 said:He charges them, but honestly, I think he only billed me 100 rather than 200. Do you happen to remember which figure I gave you? My memory is failing me on this one.😂

I think you mentioned he charged you 100.

My nose gets incredibly swollen right after I wake up, then it settles down during the day, and it just keeps cycling through this loop. I’m curious—how long does this kind of thing actually last?

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like their nose is a completely different color than the rest of their face? I’m not talking about that specific spot where the skin tightens right over the bone. No, it's different. My nose looks like it’s been sunburnt or constantly flushed, and honestly, it definitely wasn't like this before.

shadowseal372 said:First off, I really want to thank rustygardener172 because if it wasn't for her and those photos she shared, I probably wouldn't have even gone to see Dr. Glusac. I had my surgery two months ago. My nose was honestly terrible—wide, bumpy, high, and broken... I absolutely hated it. Now, I finally have the beautiful nose I’ve always wanted. My profile is perfect, even though the tip is still a little swollen. The bone area is still puffy too, but even with the swelling, it looks better and narrower than before. The doctor mentioned he had his work cut out for him since there were several old fractures to deal with. The procedure was supposed to cost $2,000, which means $4867, but the doctor ended up charging me only $1,400 and told me to use the $600 difference to buy something nice to help with my recovery 😍

I would warmly recommend Dr. Glusac to everyone; if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to answer them 👍

Since this is only my second post on this forum, I know plenty of you will be skeptical about my story, but I'm not here to run an advertisement. I just want to help girls who are still hesitating, just like rustygardener172 helped me 🙂

That's wonderful, I am so glad to read such a lovely experience... if you don't mind, could you also send some photos to me? thanks 🙂

Dr. Dzepina stated that nasal packing needs to stay in for more than three days, contradicting Dr. Glusac. I decided to go with him because I really love his surgical work on noses.

"In most cases, it is necessary. Packing serves a structural purpose and must remain in place until its job is done. Removing it too early can compromise the postoperative results. I can't comment on what you heard without knowing the specifics of the case. You have to understand that this surgery varies significantly from patient to patient, as does the degree of instability in critical nasal structures—which is exactly why the packing is vital. Of course, if breathing concerns are an issue, we can use specialized packing with air tubes to allow for airflow."

placidbadger28 said:Dr. Dzepina mentioned you really need to keep the tampons in for more than three days, which totally contradicts what Dr. Glusac is saying. I’m leaning toward him because, honestly, his rhinoplasty work looks incredible.

"In most cases, it's absolutely necessary. Those tampons aren't just sitting there; they serve a structural purpose and have to stay put until they've done their job. Pulling them out too early can seriously mess up your postoperative results. I can't really weigh in on what you heard elsewhere since I don't know the specifics of your situation. You have to understand that this surgery plays out differently for everyone, especially regarding how much the stability of key nasal structures needs to be maintained—and that's where the nasal packing plays such a huge role. Of course, if you're worried about being able to breathe, there's always the option of using tampons with breathing tubes built in."

Look, when I had my first surgery, I kept my tampons in for four or five days, and the results were pretty damn mediocre... so, personally? I wouldn't go obsessing over exactly how many days the tampons need to stay in.
