Posts per page

Hey, so does anyone know where the hell the option went to show more than the standard number of posts per page? I can't find it in my settings anymore, and I noticed this morning that all the threads I'm following have way more pages than they used to. It was so much easier to browse before... honestly, I hate having to click through a million different pages just to see what's going on 😢

I’ve noticed the exact same thing—honestly, just give me back my 60 posts per page already! 🙂

It’s an embarrassment to the entire internet if this is actually true. And it is true, because I’m looking at it right now—there are threads with barely two or three posts per page.

Bring back the option to see more posts per page. ASAP.

I guess I didn't know about that option either; the only way I ever saw it was on the print version, where you could select how many posts to display, but that seems kind of pointless since there isn't any 😒
If this linear mode used to allow for 60 posts per page, maybe they should just bring that back—don't make it awkward!

Honestly, I think Reddit might be the only forum out there that doesn't let you crank it up to 100 posts per page (which is totally fine by me, personally). If we're gonna act like it's 1999, then let's actually stay in 1999 through and through! 😁

Ever since he showed up about ten days ago, things have been moving... we got the emojis back, updated the rules for certain PDFs, and fixed a bunch of small stuff. If he sticks around, we could probably knock out more in the next couple weeks. A lot of us here actually know our way around these systems since we use them all the time anyway. ☕

And man, I really hope you're right about that (like, seriously, wouldn't it be great if it actually worked out that way). Plus, if they’d just bump up the avatar limit to at least 50 KB, we could finally upload some decent GIFs that don't look like pixelated trash...

Why haven't the moderators weighed in on this yet? Honestly, it’s driving me a little crazy—having to click through to a new page every five posts is such a drag. Is there going to be a fix for this layout soon, or should I just get used to this 🤷

I honestly don't know. I actually went ahead and asked about it, but I haven't gotten a definitive answer just yet.

So, what was the actual reasoning behind getting rid of the option to show more posts per page?
Having to deal with just 20 at a time is honestly such a drag.

The ads probably get way more eyeballs anyway, since it’s a lot harder to stretch them out over like 100 different posts when you're dealing with people who don't have AdBlock or NoScript installed.

So, what's the deal with this at the end? 😕
