he definitely could've grabbed P2...

He *could* have, but he didn't...
plus, that's not even what I was talking about, which you clearly missed...☕

oh sure... yeah, it’s totally obvious how much you hate Fernando Alonso☕ such a total crybaby... nothing ever goes his way, does it? he's always making excuses for everything. what an absolute clown. right? 🙄 👋

The 🙏FIA
are absolute geniuses.

👎

Look, you can think what you want, but you clearly missed Hamilton's pit exit.
🤣

And besides, Robert Kubica will probably get a penalty after the race, just like Michael Schumacher did, but it won't matter anyway since he's got nothing left to gain. 🤣

Bottom line? I’m expecting maybe one point for Narain Karthikeyan. 😉

To be honest—I mentioned just yesterday that McLaren is going to absolutely tear through Red Bull like they're nothing—and that's without any help from the rain or an SC. 😍

First off
I don't hate anyone, especially not some guy like Alonso whom I've never even met
and honestly, I hope I never get the chance to either
but if you're calling him a massive wimp and all that crap
well, that's just facts 😉

To be fair, I told you just yesterday that McLaren was going to tear through Red Bull like a toddler with a rattle—no safety car or rain needed. 😍

Red Bull is absolutely tearing it up right now. Two races in a row and they're just unstoppable. 🤦

That’s got nothing to do with McLaren. ☕

What an absolute joke. How do you lose nearly 15 seconds on Mark Webber just to end up losing positions and still being stuck dragging your tail around the track? It’s pure incompetence. The guy clearly has zero clue how to plan a pit strategy. A total disaster. Even a local news station would have called him out for that level of failure.

At the end of the day, I'm just expecting one lonely point for Narain Karthikeyan. 😉

Not really, 🤣🤣 but I pretty much know what's going on because a little squirrel just hopped into my room and spilled all the details to me.

He definitely could have secured P2.

He could have. He also could have had Kimi Räikkönen hand him 36 points a few years back, but hey, I could be a ten-time Formula 1 champion too. Clearly, I'm not... That amateurish move by Jenson Button where he gave up the spot was nothing compared to how Lewis Hamilton plays in the sand. It's just... you have to remember, Fernando Alonso is a two-time world champion. You shouldn't let him get away with that kind of thing. But Lewis Hamilton has matured since then. Honestly, everything Alonso achieved today was mostly just pure luck in the pits because the crew at McLaren couldn't seem to unscrew four simple bolts...

Good grief, I honestly can't believe what I'm reading here.
It’s funny seeing all these self-proclaimed Formula 1 experts and FIA rule masters (shout out to the few who actually know what they're talking about).

It’s unbelievable how whenever some fan's driver has a bad race, everyone else suddenly becomes the villain.

Everyone wants to hand out penalties like candy, yet most of you don't have the slightest clue how Formula 1 regulations actually work.

If there were any legitimate grounds for a penalty, the FIA would have absolutely crushed McLaren, which is pretty much what history has shown us happens.
Otherwise, we should remember that McLaren once paid the largest fine in the history of the sport—$100 million—which is several times larger than any other major penalty in sports history.

Then you have people acting like geniuses while being completely clueless about what actually happened. Lewis Hamilton didn't steal a single thing from the Ferrari guys; it was actually Alonso who pulled those stunts and then managed to wiggle out of it, eventually leaving McLaren because his ego couldn't handle the fact that Hamilton was simply faster.

At the end of the day, McLaren remains one of the most penalized teams in the history of Formula 1.

Honestly, this team proved today why they don't deserve a title. They’ve got two lightning-fast drivers and the fastest car on the grid, yet they constantly screw up and finish behind their main rivals. 🤷 They seriously need to rename themselves to Amateur GP (or just pick a forum team name).🤣

They should just rename themselves "Oops." 🤣

A bunch of supposed Formula 1 experts and FIA rule masters here (with a few exceptions, I guess).

It’s unbelievable how everyone else is to blame whenever some driver they support has a bad race.

Everyone wants to hand out penalties, yet nobody actually knows the Formula 1 rulebook.

If there were any actual grounds for a penalty, the FIA would have absolutely crushed McLaren—which history shows they aren't afraid to do.
For the record, McLaren once paid the largest fine in sports history—$100 million—which makes the next biggest penalty in the sport look like pocket change.

And then there's the blatant ignorance mixed with all this "expert" lecturing. Hamilton didn't steal anything from Ferrari. It was Alonso who pulled those stunts and then slunk away from McLaren because his ego couldn't handle Hamilton being faster.

At the end of the day, McLaren is one of the most penalized teams in Formula 1.

Yeah, right. So from now on, they'll just throw massive penalties at everything.🙄

And the funniest part? Now, if someone actually has a genuine mechanical failure, they'll probably get slapped with a penalty just because of McLaren's shady reputation.🙄

And what are you even talking about, claiming Hamilton copied anyone?🤷

The FIA hammered McLaren so hard that they clearly realized it was nonsensical, so now they're overcompensating by looking the other way constantly. And McLaren is taking full advantage of that.

Clearly didn't happen. That amateurish move by Jenson Button where he gave up the position is basically in the same league as Hamilton's sandbagging. The thing is, Alonso is a two-time world champ; you really shouldn't be letting stuff like that slide. Hamilton has grown up since then. Everything Alonso pulled off today was just pure luck because the crew at McLaren can't seem to unscrew four basic bolts without a struggle.

Give me a break—every single time Alonso does something actually decent in a race, it’s suddenly "luck in the pits" or "other drivers messed up." 🙄 He hasn't had enough luck to become a world champion, because let's be real, you actually need talent and skill for that. And he's proven he has it. ☕ If you actually bothered to read everything, you'd see I was commenting on these threads way before he started making these weird mistakes. He's responsible for his own mess. And don't give me that "he's all luck and no brains" nonsense, seriously. ☕ If today was purely about pit luck, there's no way he would've held onto 3rd place. And what about when he showed some real backbone by not letting Hamilton pass him through the pits?? Yeah, he did.

Anyway, if you've got a problem with Alonso, maybe just keep it to yourself.

stormybadger8 said:I was reading through this report on Autosport about the chaos at the Canadian Grand Prix 2010, and honestly, it’s just more of the same nonsense you'd expect from the FIA. It feels like every time we think there might be some actual racing integrity, another mess unfolds that leaves everyone feeling a bit exhausted. I remember sitting in a diner outside of Indianapolis years ago, watching a similar debacle unfold on a grainy TV screen, thinking then that the sport was heading toward this exact kind of bureaucratic headache. Now, here we are again.

Honestly, it feels like from here on out, they're just going to start handing out massive penalties for the exact same thing every single time. 🙄

What’s really funny is thinking about how, now that someone actually breaks something on their car, they'll probably just shrug off whatever penalty comes their way because of that whole McLaren mess. 🙄

And what exactly are you talking about when you claim Hamilton copied someone? 🤷

It feels like the FIA absolutely butchered McLaren with those massive penalties, and deep down, they know the whole thing was a complete joke that lacked any actual logic. Now, it seems like they're trying to make up for it by turning a blind eye whenever something goes sideways, and honestly, the team is taking full advantage of that leniency.

Maybe if I bought you a beer, you’d finally take a breather and stop being so hard on McLaren. 😉
You’re acting pretty wound up...🤷 One of these days, I'll just hop in my old Volkswagen and we can drive out to Woking together.
Just go ahead and ask them whatever you want to know...👍

Bradley Nelson2 said:They wouldn't be facing any penalties if they weren't such blatant cheats. ☕

Look, man, if you really want me to sit here and list at least five penalties that McLaren and Ferrari have picked up for the exact same infractions—or even worse stuff—I could definitely do that for you.

Take the 1999 season, for example.
DC is racing in the States and because the track is so bumpy, his wing endplates drop down by about 2mm, and of course, that's enough to cost him his points.
After that race, both Ferrari drivers—Schumacher and Max Mosley—are running those exact same 20mm wings that are clearly too big, yet the officials aren't handing out any penalties.

Regarding that $100 million fine, I should probably remind everyone that a Ferrari engineer actually sent over the blueprints for the car's ballast to Fernando Alonso, who then handed them straight to his race engineer to use.
In this whole mess, Alonso gets off scot-free while McLaren is the one actually taking the hit.

Someone was claiming that Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso basically ripped off Ferrari's designs, which is why I jumped in to set the record straight—Lewis didn't copy a damn thing.

That’s all I’ve got to say on this topic.

Goodnight.

Nicole Reyes97 said:It’s funny how that works—the second Fernando Alonso actually puts in a decent shift during a race, everyone immediately starts claiming he just got lucky with his pit stops or that the other drivers basically handed him the result on a silver platter. 🙄 He just didn't have enough luck on his side to ever clinch a world title. You can't just stumble into that kind of success; you actually need some real skill and brains to pull it off. And he proved that beyond any doubt. ☕ If you actually bothered to read through everything, you'd see I was already posting my own comments on the forums before those weird glitches even started happening. He’s the one who messed this up himself. And honestly, don't give him credit for being lucky when he clearly just lacks any actual sense—it's getting old.☕If he hadn't gotten that lucky break during the pit stops today, there's no way he would have held onto third. Honestly, he showed zero backbone when he failed to let Lewis Hamilton past through the pits—it was pretty pathetic to watch.

Look, if you can't handle seeing Fernando Alonso on your screen without getting worked up, maybe just do yourself a favor and stop commenting.

It feels like Kim's old engines from back in 2005 are finally crawling out of their graves at the Mercedes sanctuary, and honestly, they probably have a few choice words to say about Mercedes, Adrian, and Kim himself. 😁 🤣🤣

Look, Arthur Doyle70, don't play dumb here. Kimi pulling out of races was just bad luck, plain and simple. But if you look at who was constantly breathing down his neck and fighting him for the win every single time... hm... I'm pretty sure it was your favorite, Fernando Alonso😍
I honestly have no clue what he did to everyone to make them disrespect him this much🤷

At the end of the day, if you don't have a rock-solid car, fighting for a championship is an uphill battle. Kimi always seemed to run into reliability issues, whether he was behind the wheel at McLaren or Ferrari. Compare that to Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, who have both enjoyed incredible stretches of flawless reliability over the last few years—that's really where the gap lies between them and Kimi. Don't get me wrong, you can't dispute the pure driving talent of Hamilton or Alonso, but without a car that actually finishes the race, winning multiple championships would be an impossible dream.
Michael Schumacher also benefited from having an incredibly reliable machine during those years he was racking up titles.
