just a joke to him, and frankly, Hemic could take him as he is... 🤮 I mean, he seems perfectly happy and content having both Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa right there by his side today, doesn't he? 🙄

maybe those first three are just looking out for one another...😁

Felipe Massa is a good guy regardless🙂

If his performance drops, then I guess he'll just have to deal with the consequences. Back in 2007, it wasn't necessarily that he was struggling; rather, it seemed like the British team was determined to secure their own champion at any cost. Those subtle internal tensions combined with the relentless pressure from the American media would probably break much calmer personalities. Fernando Alonso managed to endure all of that quite well, and now he's back. I really have to respect him for that.

That race was honestly pretty dull. If they keep putting on shows like that, I might actually find myself skipping them altogether...

I suppose Bahrain has never really been known for being high on excitement, except for that one year when an Airbus nearly clipped the main grandstand during a promotional low-altitude flyover due to a sudden crosswind 😁.

It seems races this year will likely have somewhat quieter starts and sterile pit lane action, though the finishes could potentially be spectacular. I guess we should also consider that yet another significant portion of the responsibility for success or failure has been shifted from the drivers over to the mechanics and engineers—much like what happened with Sebastian Vettel today.

Congrats to Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa!
Hopefully we see some more interesting racing down the road.

The predictions actually came true:

Boring as hell... if it weren't for Vettel's exhaust issues, this would've been one of the most tedious races ever...

I’m honestly praying this was just a track issue that kept McLaren from performing better (that new section clearly held them back), and that things actually pick up in the USA. Otherwise, we're looking at a season of pure boredom because it's obvious you can only overtake if you have a much faster car. As it stands, once the first lap is over, it's just a single-file train where your only hope is a lucky pit stop jump.

btw... the cockpit cam near the end of the race totally pissed me off. It looked like a freaking Red Bull commercial. First, they were glued to Mark Webber while he was trying to catch Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher—even when Webber dropped four seconds behind Button, they stayed on his car. Then, right when Lewis Hamilton started making serious moves on Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel, they decided to show Sébastien Buemi sitting in 16th place behind Jaime Alguersuari 🤦

Honestly, the director made an already dull race even worse. They need to fire the editors immediately. The FIA (or whoever is in charge) needs to find actual professionals to direct these broadcasts and provide decent graphics.

Going to sleep until the USA GP 🙂

They need to scrap this whole DRS nonsense immediately. They have more downforce now than they ever did before... yet the cars still end up nose-to-tail the moment they close the gap, unless 1.2 miles it’s a straightaway where overtaking is actually possible... I suppose they could just install water cannons along the track—if things get too dull, Charlie can just hit a button (not a paddle, mind you) and suddenly we have excitement right in the middle of the desert (though I'm not sure if that's just some side effect of those questionable ads) 🤷.....

I mean, what's even the point? 🤣

Personally, I don't think Webber was anything special. He's basically in the same league as Jenson Button—just nothing to write home about.

Congrats to Fernando Alonso, though let’s be honest, he only walked away with the win because of that mess involving Sebastian Vettel... still, a win is a win. Huge props to Ferrari, they’ve had a hell of a start to the season.
The race itself was pretty much anything but thrilling, but I guess that’s just how things always go in Bahrain. I’m thinking the USA race will be a lot better. Honestly, the graphics on the broadcast were a total disaster; they completely missed the main pit stop data, and everything was just tiny... even with my eyesight being fine, I could barely make out what was happening, so I can't imagine anyone older trying to follow it.
All in all, it was a decent enough showing, and the main thing is that we're finally underway—hopefully, things actually pick up some excitement soon.
It seems like Michael Schumacher is right where people expected him to be, since it’s going to take some time to get back to that peak form, but if the car behaves itself, I think he might actually start fighting for wins again.
One thing is blindingly obvious, and this season is already proving it right at the starting gate: last year, Formula 1 handed out the worst, most undeserved championship in history. This Button guy won't even come close to seeing a victory lap; that title was his limit, especially considering he basically snatched the championship thanks to that diffuser controversy last year. I’m rooting for more Ferrari wins and hoping for an Alonso championship, though part of me really wishes it was Felipe Massa, because he truly deserves a title in his career.

come on Felipe, let's go! 🙏

It’s pretty obvious at this point that Massa is going to absolutely tear into Fernando Alonso for the rest of the season, even if he's gonna have to fight tooth and nail to do it—kind of like trying to crack a rock-hard walnut compared to how Kimi handles things. 🙏

Honestly, thank God I had a wardrobe to put together, otherwise I probably would have died of pure boredom watching this race 👎

This whole system needs a rule requiring at least two or even three tire changes during a race; what we saw today was just a disaster... "I couldn't drive fast because I had to baby the tires," 👎

Felipe Massa really deserves some serious credit here, especially considering this was his first race back after such a long, grueling hiatus.🙂

True, this rule change doesn't really offer much promise... nor does it change much regarding the points system. Last season, everyone was complaining about how Jenson Button took the championship despite having only a handful of wins and just as many mediocre finishes.
If that's the case, how much of a gap can actually be built up now with just a few victories?

this whole system needs a rule where you have to do at least two or even three pit stops, right? because what we just saw was a total disaster... "I couldn't push hard because I had to save my tires" 👎

the funniest part for me was hearing Mass tell him, "look, if you can't go fast, you have to save the engine for this race and the next one" 🙄

man, this race would’ve been about as exciting as watching snow melt in the driveway if Vettel hadn't had that breakdown 🙏

Total snooze fest, honestly. 👎
Even if Sebastian Vettel actually had a car that worked properly, this race would’ve been even more mind-numbing.

The start was a complete nothingburger. I was bracing for chaos, but instead? Absolute silence. 👎
Instead of actually racing, these new drivers just keep driving off track. 🤣

Overall, it sucks. I’ve got a bad feeling that all these Adrian Newey tracks are going to be exactly like this. Maybe the old-school circuits will show some life, but based on what we're seeing, this season is going to be painfully boring. 😢
I mean, Rosberg was two seconds faster per lap than Vettel and still couldn't make anything happen. Ferrari was four or five seconds back and basically had to wait until the straightaways just to have a shot. I don't think we're seeing any real overtaking this year.

Red Bull cruises to pole in qualifying, then everyone spends the entire race just waiting for Adrian Newey's fragile masterpiece to fall apart. 🤣 We'll see if they actually scrape together a win or if they just crumble. 😬

Basically, a waste of time.

Man, this race is honestly such a snooze fest!!! I was really banking on some chaos right at the start—you know, just pure madness and overtaking battles—but instead, we get absolutely nothing...
