analogbadger5 said:Yeah... what a mess. I’d call the number in that email to ask about it, but my English isn't quite sharp enough yet! 🤣 Plus, I have a festival pass and wanted to give it to my girlfriend just to make sure we both had access for the second day... 😢

If I’m reading that website correctly, we don't actually get access to the second day. And even for the first day, it sounds like you aren't really there to listen to the music, but rather to volunteer leading up to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival! 😍

Is it actually okay to bring a camera along? I know if you look at the fine print on the back of the ticket, it says no recording equipment allowed, but honestly, I feel like I see groups of people with their cameras out all the time

So, after all that work, are we finally free? 😁

Does anyone know if they're doing free rides on the CTA to Lake Michigan this year if you show your Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival ticket? It’s been done before in previous years.

Anyway, there's zero mention of transit here:

I'm betting yes. 😁
Basically, I just checked my inbox and saw the five of us made the cut. Honestly, I thought the group would be even smaller than that!
Plus, I'm banking on us being able to sneak into a few shows while we're pulling volunteer duty. But hey, are we actually going to meet anyone from the band? I don't know the first thing about them, so I should probably do some homework. 🤣

Is there any realistic chance, assuming I'm incredibly lucky or perhaps just really good at bribing people, that I could actually snag an autograph from someone in Grinderman? Or should those of us heading there just give up hope and leave the CD covers at home?

My friends caught Ellis in Vienna, so now I’m curious to see how that would play out at Lake Michigan.

🙂

Maybe if you snag a spot in the front row, you'll have a chance. You know that moment at the end of the show when they come right up to the edge of the stage to wave? If you're there, you could probably wave your drumsticks at them and maybe convince someone to sign them. 🙏: 🤣 Wait, that’s actually possible. 🤷 How far is it from the front row to the actual stage?

So, I was just sitting here scrolling through my inbox, you know how it is, and I saw that they actually picked five of us. I mean, I guess... I honestly thought the group would be even smaller than that! Maybe I overestimated things, or maybe I just expected more people to be left out. It's a bit surprising, I suppose.
And I honestly think we might even manage to sneak into a concert or two while we’re out there volunteering! Though, I wonder... will we actually get a chance to meet someone from the band? To be honest, I don't really know much about them, so I should probably do a little homework and get up to speed first, I guess. 🤣

Are you kidding me? I honestly thought only the five of us had been looped into that email thread, but I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean we're the only ones handpicked for this... I guess. 🤷
We’re going to get to know them all... actually, no, I don't think we should.
P.S. I’m actually pretty convinced my theory holds water here... since I'm the only guy on this list, and looking at you, I guess you're on the stronger side of the gender divide too.

I’m looking at this mess and honestly? It’s easily the most pathetic excuse for a music festival in the entire universe. 🤷

Richard Johnson42 said:The lineup for this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival just dropped, and honestly, it’s exactly what you’d expect. Not much to say about it.

Looking at this, I honestly think it’s the worst festival in the universe. 🤷

Why don't you just skip it? 🙏

I didn't say you were going. I'm just asking what the point of your "comment" actually is. If you don't like it, just skip the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and all five of them.

Are you sure it's really that bad? Take a look at the lineup...

The Crew might be better off watching a pile of American bands that play 200 shows a year across the States, wouldn't you say?

I was wondering if it’s actually possible to just walk up to a box office at the entrance tomorrow and pick up a two-day pass?
Will they be charging the full retail price, or is there some kind of discount available for T-Mobile customers?
Thanks 🙂

We'll meet them all... right!
P. S. actually, I'm certain my theory holds water because I'm the only guy on that list, and it looks like you're on the stronger side of the gender divide too.

So it has to be that way—my inbox shows three guys and two women! Whatever, we'll see what happens tomorrow at 3:15. 🤷

P. S. since you already have a concert ticket, and there's zero chance you'll snag free entry for the second day, why even bother volunteering if you'll likely miss half the show?

P. S. Since you already have a ticket for the show, and you probably won't score a free pass for the second day anyway, I guess I wonder—what's the point of volunteering for you if there's a chance you'll miss out on a huge chunk of the music?

I don't actually have a ticket, I think you might have mixed things up somewhere.😠

I am certain it isn't the worst. Just look at the lineup...

Who exactly is performing? One brilliant band today that isn't even a headliner and one very good band tomorrow. That is it. My heart wants to shell out $117 to see Arcade Fire today, but my soul aches thinking about the portion of those dollars going to incompetent organizers.

Alright, I was wondering if it's actually possible to get into the area around Central Park on those two nights without a ticket? Specifically, where do they actually check the festival passes? Is it right at the main entrance by the ramp?

And how does one actually make it to the main stage where the 808s are hitting? For me, those sets are always the absolute highlight of the lineup.
Do I need to secure a ticket in advance, or is there any way to just wander in without paying?
