Come on, let's draft a petition or something—anything at all—to ask them to fix this mess so we don't have to choose between Billy and Pendulum 😬
The hype just completely died for me once the set times dropped.
I get what you're saying about the schedule being "logical" from a production standpoint, I really do. But apparently, there are way too many of us who live for Billy and also wanted to lose our minds at the Pendulum set. 😉

I guess whatever AIC kicks off with is really going to take on a whole new meaning then 😉

I don't have the exact number burned into my brain—probably something like every 10 or 15 minutes, I guess.

If that happens, I guess this will serve us just as well as it did back at the Metallica show 😁

I have a question for those who know the ropes—how long does a typical set last at a festival? Specifically, I'm wondering how long a band like Morcheeba, Ma, or Flogging Molly usually plays. I don't live in Washington, D.C., so I can really only make the trip for a single day rather than staying for the whole festival—it’s quite a trek for me!—so I'm trying to figure out if it's actually worth making the drive just for one night.

Like, how much time does a band such as Morcheeba, Ma, or Flogging Molly actually get on stage? I don't live in Washington, D.C., so I can only make it for one day. Since I can't head up there for the whole Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, I'm wondering if it's even worth making the trip just for a single night.

I guess for Flogging Molly and Ma, they won't play less than ninety minutes, surely. Just check the schedule for the gaps between bands and subtract about twenty minutes for the stage turnover between sets.
Festivals are usually pretty punctual when it comes to the schedule.

I seem to recall them doing that once, maybe a few years back. 🤷

They did that back when it was still Coachella, about two years ago. I think I still have one at home. 😁
But you can always just buy those cheap disposable ones at $1.75
any drugstore.

I have this vague memory of them doing it once, maybe a few years back... 🤷

Verizon used to hand those out. T-Mobile strikes me as being a bit stingy when it comes to stuff like that. 🤷

Oh, I didn't realize that. Great, thanks 🙂

🤣 I guess we're not getting our rain gear this year, then. 😬

Yeah, you should probably find them in the fishing aisle or maybe where they keep the OSHA safety gear.
If you want to spend a bit more, $17 you could just grab a decent raincoat. These disposable ones might handle a light drizzle, but they won't stand up to a real downpour.

You can pick up those disposable rain ponchos at $1.75 Target.

Rebecca Lee: Do you actually know which specific stores carry the decent ones?

Like I said, check those places I mentioned—definitely hit up any fishing tackle shops. You can find two-piece sets, just a jacket, or even a poncho 😁, or whatever you want to call a cape 😁
starting from $17 onwards
. I don't know the exact store names, especially since I'm not from Chicago, but if you Google it, you'll surely stumble upon a good shop with that kind of gear.
I guess you might also find some at Home Depot or maybe larger retailers like Walmart or Target.
They sometimes show up in shoe stores too; I think I saw them at Foot Locker once.

Alright, thanks. I think I’ll spend some time this weekend doing a bit of digging. I'm really hoping to track down something a little more 🙂

I still have my souvenir from Coachella 🙂

Though I’m pretty certain we won't be dealing with any rain 😉

Rain ponchos$16 — honestly, the quality is top-notch. They come in a decent variety of colors too—yellow, blue, green, and red. 😁

Check out Iglu Sport over on Main Street—it’s right across from the Greyhound Station. I was there yesterday and they still had at least 30 of them in stock.

Thanks a million 🙏 and hey, right back at ya! :S
Basically, last year just a few days before the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, I spent like two hours wandering around town trying to hunt down a raincoat and—nothing!! Seriously, all I found were some hideous, overpriced options in downtown Austin.

But luckily, I didn't even end up needing one!

As for those VIP passes, I had two—I handed one off to a girl passing by, and my mom ended up tossing the other one in the trash.😢

Hopefully, the weather stays gorgeous for The Flaming Lips on Wednesday! 🙂
But for Massive Attack? A little rain might actually set the perfect mood.😬

It could probably rain during Massive Attack; I guess that might actually fit the vibe.😬

Especially if they end up playing Pray for Rain.😍

Quick question for anyone who didn't grab a full pass for the whole festival and is just planning to catch Alice in Chains 🙂 — when are you guys actually heading out to snag those tickets? Does anyone know if they've announced what time the gates open for sales?

Just so everyone knows, you can pick up tickets at the entrance starting at 5:30 PM on the first day. Just keep in mind, those are ONLY for the pre-festival day. $83.
