No umbrellas, no drinks, and definitely no food allowed.

😳

Is there any way to get into the campground and stash some food somewhere secure? Or maybe just outside the camp area? Somewhere nearby that isn't a total free-for-all. Like, could I just meet up with some other campers and basically offload my supplies onto them? 😢

It’s not even the cost of the food that bothers me—it's the selection.

Not even sure if I'm up for that bullshit yet... it's a long trek out to Central Park 😁

Shoot me a DM with a price for the ticket, then I might actually be able to make a call 🙏

I don't even know what a DM is, but here's 500 slaps for you😉

Look, kid, I'm just not feeling up to slapping you that many times... I think my limit is closer to two hundred. Is that okay?

I haven't had a chance to catch up on everything everyone is saying yet, but I'll get to it soon... anyway, here is what I wanted to ask about.
I am a bit confused regarding these tickets. I have two FESTIVAL PASSES, and they clearly state June 22nd and 23rd, 2010. However, what is the deal with this "zero day," which is supposedly tomorrow, June 21st?
Shouldn't a festival pass cover all three days—that zero day, plus the first and second? Does this mean I won't be able to attend tomorrow?

It’s all a little overwhelming since I'm not very familiar with how this works... if someone could clarify things for me, I would appreciate it. My old man actually won these tickets at a party in Palm Springs after having quite a few Budweisers. 😁

EDIT: Okay, I understand now.
Coachella has prepared an extra surprise for those attending the festival—they've added a "zero day," or "Ground Zero," on June 21st at Youth Island, and for anyone holding a festival pass, Ground Zero is free!

I don't get this whole ticket situation. I have two FESTIVAL PASSES, and they say June 22nd and 23rd, 2010. Fine. But what about Ground Zero tomorrow, the 21st?
The festival pass should cover all three days... you know, Ground Zero, day one, and day two. Does this mean I can't show up tomorrow or something??

Ground Zero was added recently, way after tickets went on sale. Your festival pass covers Ground Zero too.

Well, it sounds great on paper, but I haven't fully committed yet since I'm still coordinating with a friend... she'd likely only want to go on Tuesday or maybe Wednesday, which doesn't feel worth it to me. I'd honestly rather just sell my gear and make at least $233, instead of heading out there to blow my last $150 just to see two or three artists I actually like, while someone else might spend all three days at Coachella because they want to see everything.

You're basically just thinking out loud here, and nobody really cares if you show up or not.
Arthur Barnes posted an ad saying he'll take offers via DM for tickets, so he might actually buy them.

I'm heading downtown to hunt for raincoats, though I haven't the slightest clue where to even start.🙂

Supposedly you can find some at General Motors or BlackRock.🙂
Or maybe check those big-box stores like the Forest Service or whatever.

They say the rain might let up by tonight, fingers crossed, I guess.👍
At least it isn't boiling out.👍

For those veterans who were at the horse racing track on May 16th, this is going to feel just like a massive reunion—cold, rainy, windy, soaked in raincoats... ahhh, simply wonderful.

Folks, I have a question. Actually, two questions.

I see everyone up there discussing the rain ponchos, but nobody has actually mentioned if they’ll be selling them on-site. If anyone is heading back today, could you please post an update once you return? (And yes, I know, I don't care about AC/DC—go ahead and shoot me. 😁)

My second concern is regarding the gear policy. If my memory serves me right, last year the disclaimer explicitly stated that professional equipment was prohibited. This year, however, the wording has shifted to say that "audio and visual recording equipment is not permitted without prior authorization from the organizers." So, what does that actually mean in practice? Is a standard DSLR still okay to bring? 😳
