I haven't been checking this forum in forever so I'm totally out of the loop, plus I don't even know what a changeover is.🤷

I’m going to lose my mind if I don't get an invite. Honestly, they were practically made for the Budweiser stage—pure chaos and nothing else.

Do we even know if there's a Budweiser stage this year? I doubt anyone's actually showing up to that one anyway... maybe they cut it down to two stages because of the recession? 🙂

Well, my take? I suspect it'll still happen—maybe it won't be the Budweiser stage specifically, but some other sponsor will step up to fill the gap. Besides, T-Mobile in Music is becoming such a massive draw lately that I really don't think the recession is going to play a huge role in their budget decisions. 🤷 But then again, who knows...

Kevin Chavez3 said:Man, if only Motörhead would play. 😢

Kevin Chavez3 said:They’re hitting Coachella around June 12th and then Sonisphere in Italy on the 25th. How's that sound for an American summer? 😕

They're playing at Lollapalooza too... and Judas Priest is on the lineup.

Are you kidding me? 🤦

I was actually getting worked up a few days ago over the whole Arcade Fire and Grinderman situation, thinking they might actually save the roster. But honestly? 🤣

As it stands right now, this lineup is such a mess that only Phantasmagoria could possibly fix it. At this point, half the discussion here is just white noise. 🤣 Every second comment is basically redundant. ☕

Morgan Palmer2 said:Wait... you're actually telling me you think a band like that is worth thirty bucks? 😕

I knew someone was going to take that the wrong way, though I suppose I didn't exactly frame it in the most graceful manner. 😵 I wasn't exactly looking for pure aggression when I decided to catch their show, but you really can't deny that Korn brings a certain intensity that's hard to match; then again, whenever my mind drifts toward truly heavy hitters, I find myself thinking of bands like Down, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, or Motörhead. People love to complain about the ticket prices being astronomical, but at least in recent years, festivals like Lollapalooza managed to book a few acts with some actual grit, whereas this year's lineup feels a bit thin—though I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see if the situation improves. 🤷

I’m honestly starting to think about just selling my ticket and skipping Lollapalooza this year; the lineup for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been pretty disappointing so far.

Amanda Barrett4 said:Apparently, Kings of Leon mentioned they won't be playing "Sex on Fire" or whatever the hell that song is called if they show up, supposedly because they've played it so many times they're actually sick of it. 🤣

Honestly, it’s probably for the best. Isn't it always better when they lean into the classics?🙂

Man, I’m a bit lost on this $30 thing... though I have to say, Korn is definitely in. Even if they were a little more stripped-back and mellow during that MTV Unplugged session—which was honestly brilliant.

I honestly just love those keyboard warriors who drop comments like that after I’ve only shared a handful of bands out of a lineup of twenty...

Personally, I’d much rather just head to Lollapalooza—where I'm certain the lineup is already looking stronger than this—than sit around waiting for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to drop the rest of their names. Even then, there's no guarantee they'll actually be my style anyway...🤷

The bands are significantly better. Out of the few acts they've announced for Lollapalooza, two are actually slated for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. And that's not even counting the DJs, the house music, or whatever else they throw in there.

Pulp, Portishead, Beirut, or even Magnetic Man?
I don’t typically listen to Fedde Le Grand, but I know he’s quite the big deal in the electronic circles he runs in.
It’s definitely an upgrade over what they had at Coachella last year—hey, they actually brought out Jamiroquai... 🤦
Compared to last year, the lineup for Coachella has been a bit underwhelming, that's just a fact. I’m not saying they won't announce more great bands by June, but right now, Lollapalooza is definitely winning this one...

Even Fedde Le Grand—I don't follow his stuff personally, but I know he's a big deal in those specific electronic circles he moves in.
It’s definitely an upgrade over what Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is booking, hey, look, they're bringing out Jamiroquai. 🤦
Compared to last year, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival really missed the mark; that's just a fact. I’m not saying they won't announce more great bands by June, but right now, Lollapalooza is winning this one, hands down.

They didn't miss the mark. You're talking nonsense without any actual facts.
Lollapalooza has better names and will continue to have them, which is great if you're into massive crowds. On the other hand, you can catch a few more top-tier performers right up front at Central Park.
