Not exactly my cup of tea—but I suppose it isn't terrible.

Arthur Anderson75 said:Personally, I’m a huge fan of Megadeth and Dark Tranquillity, but I don't hold my breath expecting to see them at Coachella. It isn't about having some "refined" taste or anything; it's just that these metal bands aren't exactly household names on a global scale.

That said, I've been a massive fan of Alice in Chains since way back in '92, and man, I love that band.

So when they were announced for Coachella, I didn't just say "wow." Honestly, I was practically tearing up from pure joy.

I really don't see why that would be an issue for you.

Fair enough, fair enough. I was just asking because I couldn't quite wrap my head around which bands you meant, since none of them seemed to have made the cut for the Lollapalooza lineup. Though... I figured it might be something along those lines. Don't worry, I'm doing just fine, no need to fret.🤷🤣😍

Cypress Hill—now that's cool. They might not be my absolute favorite thing ever, but if we're talking hip-hop, I'm glad they're part of the mix. Coachella is looking pretty diverse and interesting so far.☕

Is it just me, or does this look like the entire lineup of "headliners"? :/

Looks like your intuition was a bit off, wasn't it?

Here is the current situation.☕ We don't have a confirmed date for Jamiroquai yet, but I have a hunch they might slot them in for the 22nd. If they do, it would probably mean the organizers are cooking up one more big surprise for us. 😍

Jamiroquai?

I’m actually looking forward to seeing Cypress Hill. I have nothing against talented, gutsy, and original indie bands, but when I head to a summer festival, I want something upbeat and fun. Who really wants to sit there listening to everyone else's misery? 🤮

I mean, I'm totally on board. Honestly, I agree with everything said here, but I think I agree with the part about the coffee the most.

I mean, listening to Cypress Hill and Jamiroquai back-to-back is going to be an absolute blast, no doubt about it, but TV on the Radio... I don't know, maybe it just isn't my vibe.😛 I mean, at the end of the day, I’m actually kind of digging the direction they’re taking with Coachella this year.

Man, what a mess.

If Motörhead finally rolls through, we won't need anyone else...

Arcade Fire can take a sick day and just cancel 😁

Were you just sitting there waiting for someone to be announced just so you could type that?

And yeah, hope your mom gets sick and cancels on you.

Come on, let's not get carried away with labels like "stupid." She just didn't know better, or maybe she just didn't think things through for a second...

In the meantime... check out this cool clip.

Voting for your favorites is coming up soon. According to what they announced at today's press conference, the top three artists with the most votes will be performing live at the festival. They're even launching a dedicated DirecTV channel just for the event...

Are we talking about those random indie acts they throw in every year, or is this for the big names?

Yeah, they’re taking those first three bands from the competition and bumping them up to ten, just like last year. Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me—I can't make it down to Central Park before 6:30 or 7:00 PM anyway. One thing that is actually a plus, though, is that voting will be through DirecTV. Not everyone has it, so at least we won't have a situation where every single person follows some local preacher's orders and votes for the same band online. 😂😂😂

It's pretty cool if you can catch the vibe between sets; it feels like world music is making a comeback at Coachella.

Coachella, happening June 21st and 22nd at Central Park, is bringing some massive global headliners to Washington, D.C., though there’s talk of adding a third night. Of course, that all hinges on negotiations with City Hall—they're demanding $350,000 just for the field where the festival sits.
