I've got some concert recordings I want to move over to DVD, so I'm looking for advice on which software to use and what the best workflow is. Thanks in advance! I already tried using Nero Burning ROM, but it won't work because the file is too big at 7GB.

A dual-layer DVD is the move if you're dealing with a dual-layer mess...

I've got all the right tools, but whenever I hit burn in Nero Burning ROM, it just tells me the file is too large.
Maybe it’s because I’m stuck using an old version of Nero Burning ROM that can't handle this specific format. Should I try to convert the file, download a newer version of Nero, or just switch to something else entirely?

That file is way too huge for FAT16—it caps out at 4 GB. Besides, what are you even going to play that monster on? Most desktop players barely support FAT16 anyway, right?

Maybe give it a shot by selecting the DVD-ROM (UDF) option within Nero Burning ROM. 🙂

I’d love to set up a home theater, but honestly, I care about the audio just as much as the picture quality.😁 Since my PC is basically a dinosaur and struggles to run everything smoothly, I usually just stick to burning things onto DVDs.

You'll actually need to convert those .mkv files to .avi first, since most DVD players don't support the .mkv format.

I tried using Nero Burning ROM, but it doesn't support the format at all.

Give Nero Burning ROM or ImgBurn a shot and see what happens.

Unless you happen to be using one of those high-end, latest-generation standalone DVD players. 🙂
