Such a great movie; honestly, even those slightly cliché romantic scenes at the end don't bother me—they actually hit home every single time I watch it; personally, my favorite moments are:

1. When Keira Knightley (I can't recall her character's name offhand) realizes her husband's best friend is actually in love with her—I remember when I first saw this, that scene really caught me off guard because I just didn't see it coming.
2. When he shows up at her door holding those signs (seriously one of the most beautiful scenes in all of romantic cinema).
3. That moment where the leaves fly over Colin Firth into the lake, and then the girl from Portugal runs, strips down, and jumps in.
4. When Hugh Grant gets rejected by the President of the USA.

And... and much as it grieves me to say it, it... it might be that the people I love is, in fact... you.

Billy Mack: Yeah.
Joe: Ten minutes at Elton John's, you're as gay as a maypole!

Billy Mack: I left Elton's, where there were a hefty number of half-naked chicks with their mouths open, in order to hang out with you, at Christmas.

Billy Mack: It's a terrible, terrible mistake, Chubs, but you turn out to be the fucking love of my life. And to be honest, despite all my complaining, we have had a wonderful life.

3. The press conference involving the President and the Prime Minister.

Press Conference reporter: Mr. President, has it been a good visit?
The President: Very satisfactory indeed. We got what we came for, and our special relationship is still very special.
Press Conference reporter: Prime Minister?
President: I love that word "relationship." Covers all manner of sins, doesn't it? I fear that this has become a bad relationship; a relationship based on the President taking exactly what he wants and casually ignoring all those things that really matter to, erm... the United Kingdom. We may be a small country, but we're a great one, too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, The Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that. And a friend who bullies us is no longer a friend. And since bullies only respond to strength, from now onward I will be prepared to be much stronger. And the President should be prepared for that.

4. When Jamie travels to Portugal to pick up Aurelio, and meets her family.

1. Kiera and her best man with those door signs
2. Kiera’s wedding to that guy, and the best man goes and orders "All you need is love"
3. mr. Darcy and the girl from Portugal getting soaked after the lake, basically confessing their love in two different languages
4. Hugh Grant just totally shuts down Billy Bob because he tried to flirt with his woman
5. That little kid sprinting through the entire airport to that genius instrumental track just to catch a glimpse of a little American girl

And honestly, the whole movie. I get chills every single time, and even though I’ve seen it at least 15 times, these scenes still make me tear up😍😍

Absolute perfection, Americans couldn't pull this off if they tried🙏
Every single scene is iconic, the soundtrack, everything... it's one of those movies you can watch a trillion times and still find something new. Like, I just realized it was January Jones, and I am totally head over heels for Colin Firth when he's speaking whatever language that is—like apologia or eusebio😍

My absolute favorites are:
