Kimberly Flores56 said:Honestly, I’d say your issue is basically just surface-level scratches... kind of like when a cat gets you. I have a cat, so my arms and forearms are constantly covered in little scratches and tiny scabs. It'll pass eventually, and by summer, you'll be good as new 😉 And seriously, stop messing with it, otherwise you might end up with a permanent scar that won't go away nearly as easily as this one will.

Look, the scabs don't bother me—well, the wound doesn't... those already fell off and left this super thin trace behind (you can barely even see it in the photos) that probably won't even show up.
It's really the redness around where the scab used to be that's bugging me. Does that ever happen to you like this? (Please, just look at the pictures if you haven't yet)
Because I don't remember redness sticking around this long after a scratch before... and I've had ones that actually bled. Maybe the scab would stay longer, but here the scab fell off instantly because the wound is literally millimeter-sized. It's just this redness that's lingering. 😢

hhhh... maybe the needle was contaminated or something... hhhh... just kidding. Seriously though, just stick to the plan and keep applying that ointment... okay, quick question though... do you actually get hair growth in those three spots?
And look, if it turns out the scarring is going to stay, you’ve got plenty of options—things like cryotherapy, dermabrasion, or laser treatments... just hang in there for a bit and let's see if the cream actually does its job first.

They grow back, but they're super thin and sparse... there's just a tiny bit of something there. Why?

But I don't get it, don't scars form right where the wound actually happened? Because this thing was like, what, a millimeter wide? And when the redness stretches out in the middle, you can see this tiny white line, like a little scar, but otherwise, it's barely even noticeable.
Is this redness some sort of warning sign for a scar (which makes zero sense to me) or could it just be my skin reacting?

Just a skin reaction... for a scar to stay, you'd need a really deep cut. You didn't do that, and you can't do that with a needle. If you'd used a knife, sure, you'd have a scar. But this? It'll fade away eventually. Just be patient...

Well, look, hair doesn't exactly grow back on scar tissue... so hopefully that settles the debate for you.
Anyway, tell me—are you feeling any cramping around the wound site or dealing with anything else health-wise?

Well, okay, I guess that's good news.
With how red this area is, I managed to spot maybe 7 or 8 little hairs...
Honestly, it still looks more like some weird skin pigmentation to me.

I don't have any issues, really... nothing normally and nothing when I touch it.

But if it's just a skin reaction, then Jomelop shouldn't be doing any harm, right?

So, my experience with scarring has always been that they show up—or at least become super noticeable—right after the scab falls off. Usually, it only happens if things take a while to heal, you know, like when a scab sticks around for a few weeks...
In this specific case, where the scab used to be, there are these tiny little white lines visible (but only if I stretch the skin out), and then there's this redness surrounding them (not actually on the scratches themselves, just off to the sides)

I know, I know, I’m repeating myself here, but I’m really trying to be as clear as possible...

Jomelop is plant-based, so it’s not going to cause any issues... which means you don't have to worry about cramps or anything like that, whether it's near the wound or just generally affecting your body...

Nah, absolutely nothing has changed. Not even a little bit.
If something was actually going on, I’d notice—I'm a total paranoid wreck usually—but honestly, there's nothing.
If I catch even the slightest hint of a change, I'll post it here immediately, you have my word on that. 😁

(I even went for blood work the other day for some routine checks—you know, because of my chronic condition—and everything came back perfect)

And does Ivan even know about all those disasters you're dealing with... or how they might just stick to you forever? XD

He knows it's still out there, he just hasn't had much chance to see it lately. 😁

And seriously, please don't start with that "forever" talk, because you'll literally trigger a mini panic attack for me. 😬

Alright... look... just go for it... seriously... you'll probably mess up, but hey, at least you'll have another crazy story to tell your grandkids one day...

Man, I'm really crossing my fingers that I won't be remembering this whole mess for that long. 😁

So, how’s the recovery coming along? If you’re still staring at this thread instead of actually resting...

cosmicmaker30 said:so how's that healing process coming along... if you're still hanging out in this thread...

The actual healing part finished ages ago, but the mark is still staring back at me. 😢

I've been slathering on Jomelop regularly, but honestly? No real whitening happening here. Maybe it's like 2-3% lighter than it was ten days ago, but let's be real, that's basically nothing... or maybe I'm just imagining things...

I'm genuinely stumped on what actually caused this. It doesn't even feel like a typical scar to me. I mean, I don't think I've ever heard of a scar forming on day two or three, especially before the scab even falls off... but I've had this redness since the second day after the scratch! To me, it feels more like something deep under the skin, some kind of pigment issue... then again, it's not quite a bruise either, I know what those look like...
Not sure if there's even any point in sticking with Jomelop since this thing isn't going to fade anytime soon at this rate. 😢
