Usually they don't even bother fixing it; they just swap it out for a new one. I guess you'd have to ask how long that actually takes, though. In my experience, they got everything sorted for me in maybe two or three weeks.

Al Pacino, I honestly thought it would be cheaper than this... now I'm going to have to hunt down some budget alternative just to make ends meet.
If they end up swapping it out, can I get the TX650 v2 since the v1s are totally sold out? Or will they at least let me pick something else that's worth about the same amount?

Honestly, I'm not sure, you might have better luck asking them directly on their own forum.

My headset died on me, so they just let me pick out whatever I wanted within that price range.

Alright, thanks. I'm going to drop it off tomorrow and then hit them up with some questions right away.

You can swap it out for something else, or just pay the difference for a premium option if you prefer...

Alright, can anyone from the link recommend something for $333 max? This one went for $890, and I’d probably throw another $333 on top of that. The rest of my rig is running a 1055t overclocked, a 6850 overclocked, and I'm actually planning to grab a second 6850 soon to set up some Crossfire

You won't find anything better for that price.

Is it actually worth dropping extra cash on $67 just to get a modular setup when the power supply is basically the same? Or am I better off sticking with the HX series over the TX models if the wattage is identical?

First off, my bad if I posted this in the wrong sub. Probably did.
Anyway, here’s the situation:
1. What’s the best way to swap out a power supply?
2. Which one should I grab to replace my old unit? Here are the specs:
Brand: micase
Model: SR300
230V, 50HZ
Total output 300W
Dimensions:
Width: 12.5cm
Depth: 6.5cm
Length: 10cm
It also notes: +5V&+3.3V combined load 145W
Hope that gives you enough to work with!
If you need more info, I can shoot over a photo of the unit via email or whatever works. Thanks to everyone helping me out.

Just unscrew four bolts and unplug the connectors—nothing too crazy there. If you've been running that power supply until now, you don't really need anything fancy; any basic 400W unit should get the job done. I guess if you let us know where you're planning to shop, we could maybe suggest something specific.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a 400W unit in New York City? As long as the dimensions fit, I don't care which store it's from—I just need it in stock or available for quick pickup. My budget is around $100.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe check this one out if you want something a bit better.

This should probably work too, assuming that 300W power supply was the thing killing you.

Thanks a ton! I think I’m actually leaning toward the second option after all, but I’ll definitely circle back and let you guys know which one I ended up grabbing. Really appreciate the help.

Anyone here actually know their stuff regarding this EVGA SuperNOVA power supply? How's it hold up?

The power supply is decent enough, I guess, but if you ask me, it’s way overpriced—there are plenty of cheaper modular options out there (like Corsair, for example).

I I'm going with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 series from Corsair since it's got a Seasonic unit inside.

Just wanted to give you guys an update—my TX650 V2 finally came back from the repair center! It’s a brand-new unit, still even in the original shrink wrap. Honestly, it’s a win because they swapped it out for a newer model and gave me a fresh warranty too 😁. They didn't even give me a choice in the matter; they just sent this one straight back to Best Buy

I'll probably just grab a Corsair 430W CX series... it's really solid and quiet 🙂
