Hey there.
I’ve been relying on Allegra for my allergies for several years now. It’s become a constant thing; I have to take them non-stop because my allergies basically last all year round.
Lately, though, I’ve been dealing with a lot of mucus buildup in my throat, and honestly, my mouth just feels really unpleasant...
I haven't actually made an appointment with my primary care physician yet, but I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar? If so, how did you manage to fix it?...
Thanks!!!!

Look, honestly, I wouldn’t bother going back to the doctor if I were you. What are they actually going to offer? At the end of the day, they just spent years studying textbooks, but they aren't much help in the real world. You’re better off just sticking to your own treatment plan and asking around—talk to your neighbors, your friends, people you know, or even just check in with the folks here on the forum. That kind of grassroots advice is guaranteed to get results. Best of luck!

Look, if you’ve been popping that med for years and suddenly your breath starts smelling like a dumpster fire, I wouldn't immediately blame the pills. Honestly? It could totally be your wisdom teeth acting up. Are you a smoker?

Regarding bad breath, I completely agree with what Mandarin said—you really ought to head to the dentist first to make sure everything is fine with your teeth. If they give you the all-clear, then you can start looking into whether the issue might actually be coming from your stomach.
As for that mucus buildup, if it’s a new development, it would be wise to see a doctor just to rule out a viral or bacterial infection. However, if you aren't experiencing any actual pain, you could try managing it yourself with an over-the-counter cough syrup or some tablets—something like Tylenol or Advil (they work similarly in this context). It should help thin out that phlegm so you can cough it up more easily.
