Hey everyone! I just wanted to reach out and give a huge shoutout to all of you fighting this battle, whether it’s you or someone you love—your courage and sheer willpower to beat this disease is absolutely incredible. Last summer, I went through my own nightmare with a nasty breast cancer diagnosis, and I had to tackle chemo and radiation while I was only 28, even though I didn't have any genetic predispositions or anything like that. Honestly, what really pulled me through was sticking to a semi-macrobiotic diet, keeping a positive mindset, having the love and support of people who actually get it, staying active with sports, and using all sorts of herbal supplements. If anyone needs a bit of advice or just wants to vent, please feel free to ask me anything!

I was actually thinking about taking it just once a day.

When you're healthy, sure. But when you're sick, the rules change entirely.
I have no idea how we ended up using Mom's dosage. I think Dad had a conversation with someone over at Heder... I can't quite recall the details.

It’s been proven that genetics aren't the deciding factor when it comes to developing cancer; it’s your lifestyle and what you put on your plate that counts.
Keep eating well, stay healthy, and hang in there.👍

Ugh, I hate doing this, but I’m going to copy over some sad news from the For a New Day Association page that went up a couple days ago. It might not even be my place to share this, and maybe it doesn't belong in this specific thread, but I honestly didn't know where else to go... I just kept thinking—slyseal28 has always been right there by our side through her own massive struggle, so it feels only right that we all stay with her in our thoughts and prayers, even if it's just in spirit.

"At 4:40 today, we lost our dear friend Zoran Golubović, one of the founders of our association. Zoran fought his own long battle against sarcoma, proving himself to be such an incredible fighter because he simply refused to back down until the very end. We’ll always remember him for that unique personality of his—always ready with a joke even when things were at their absolute worst—and as one of the loudest voices fighting for the rights of patients battling cancer. He left us brave and proud, and that’s exactly how we’ll hold onto his memory. He passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones, just the way he wanted. He didn't even know it was coming... he just fell asleep. See you on the other side, Zoki..."

slyseal28, I honestly don't even know what smart thing to say... I am just so, so sorry! I really hope you can find the strength to keep fighting and to keep looking out for everyone else in this fight... despite everything.

And here is another link for anyone who needs more context on what happened.
They also mentioned that the service is this Thursday...

I felt that since slyseal28 has been standing by us through all her own struggles, it is only right that we remain with her, if only in our thoughts and prayers.

We will remember him for his unique character—always ready with a joke even in the darkest moments—and as one of the most vocal advocates for the rights of patients battling malignant diseases. He passed away brave and proud, and that is how we shall always remember him. He departed his home surrounded by his loved ones, just as he wished. It came without warning; he simply fell asleep. Rest easy, Zoki..."

slyseal28, I honestly don't know what wise words to offer... my heart truly goes out to you. I hope you can find the strength to keep fighting and to continue supporting everyone else in their battles... despite everything.

And here is another link to provide context for those who may not be aware.
It is also noted that the funeral service will be held this Thursday...

Regrettably, there are no profound words or comforts to offer; there is only a bitter silence and reflections on the weight of the battles fought, and the courage he carried alongside slyseal28...

It feels unjust 😢 and I am sincerely sorry that things could not have gone differently, that life didn't take a different path for him.

My deepest condolences, dear slyseal28!!!!!

The earth is sown with the seeds of mortality

But death is not the end
Because death doesn't truly exist
And there is no end

Death is merely the light that illuminates
The path of ascent from the nest to the stars.

My fellow fighters, my heart truly goes out to you.😢
From the bottom of my heart, I hope you find within yourselves that same strength I had to find when my father passed away. 🙂

We said our final goodbyes to Zoki last Thursday. Today, his family laid his urn to rest in a private ceremony.
I didn't want to be the one to break the news here. I honestly expected slyseal28 to post something herself.
She’s doing okay, a true fighter... but man, she misses him. We all miss him. She’s dreading the days ahead because she knows just how heavy things are going to get. He was a real friend—the true "power behind the throne" for our association. It’s still hard to wrap our heads around the fact that this is it. He was just too vibrant a soul to simply vanish... he just drifted off to sleep.

Hi everyone. We haven't found any good news. Dad is visibly declining. His abdominal CT shows changes in both the right and especially the left adrenal glands, and the chest CT indicates the process has reached segment II of the upper lobe and segment IV of the lower right lobe. The lesion is infiltrating the posterior mediastinum, pressing into the laterodorsal wall of the trachea and the right main bronchus. We went through a bronchoscopy today with a private pulmonologist, even though everything seems pretty clear already. Once the results come in tomorrow, we’ll head to Jordanovac, but the pulmonologist says surgery isn't an option because it has spread too far. I honestly don't know what lies ahead for us now, or how anyone is supposed to stay calm.

slyseal28, my heart goes out to you!!!!!!!!

I haven't really written anything here yet... But essentially, my love passed away on June 2nd, early in the morning around 4:40 AM. He fought with such courage and dignity. He fell asleep on Monday at 4:00 PM and simply hasn't woken up since. He passed away at home, just as he truly wanted—peaceful, clean, without diapers, and nourished while surrounded by his dearest women... We saw him off, and he wasn't in any pain. He didn't feel that terror of death. He didn't even know he was leaving us...

The last thing we were discussing was starting a new targeted therapy; we had a plan in place.

He truly was brave. He always used to say there’s nothing dignified about dying, yet he truly left this world with dignity—as a man, not as a patient.

We will try to be at least half as brave as he was, and we intend to finish the things we started together. This Tuesday, we are heading to Congress for a special session of the Health Committee to discuss a proposed resolution regarding malignant tumors. The fight continues, for everyone who is coming and for everyone who is no longer with us.

slyseal28, you're in my thoughts, and believe me—I know how it feels. I know it's not easy when night falls, everyone else heads home, and you're just left alone with your own thoughts and memories...

Dear Casey Palmer5—the nights really are cruel and wretched... 🙂

Here we go, there's another one ahead of us... but we'll push through it because they want us to keep living life to the fullest and make all those shared plans we dreamed up during nights just like this one.

slyseal28 I’m so sorry... my deepest condolences.

It feels like the dark clouds are rolling back in again. Lately, it seems like it's nothing but bad news on the feed... just yesterday I found out a colleague's husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and then a few days ago, a kid from my neighborhood passed away... Honestly, can we just get a break already?!!! 😠

Some info for families and those dealing with illness...

On the "Good Morning America" show airing this Thursday, June 11th, there’s going to be a segment about health featuring journalist Monika Bradarić. It’ll include a clip of Lothar Hirneise (author of "Chemotherapy treats cancer and the Earth is flat") from December 2008—an interview that hasn't been released yet—alongside a brand new conversation with Vanja Kovačić, a naturopath practicing in Chicago. The topic, naturally, is tumor diseases.

The segment will likely air sometime between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, though there's a chance it might pop up around 7:15 AM instead.

By the way, L. Hirneise has a very high recovery rate at his clinic in Germany 👍
