Maybe you guys got tripped up because he joined the Jedi Council in Episode III. Either way, they didn't give him Jedi Master status yet...

He was just a Jedi Knight in Episode III...

To be honest, I'm just not a fan of the animation in this series...🙄

By the way, I was watching Robot Chicken last night—it’s such a killer parody of Star Wars. It hits you with some seriously wild scenes, everything from the bits with Palpatine to the stuff involving Darth Vader and Jar Jar Binks, and even that bit where they bring George W. Bush into the Star Wars universe. 😁 Also, Episode II is slated for this fall. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Is this just a movie made with action figures? (Based on the photos, it looks like it)

Yeah, it's an episode from that comedy show Robot Chicken, created by Seth Green.

Me neither. Honestly, I wish they had just made a feature-length animated movie using that classic animation style from the original Clone Wars series. I’m really not feeling this 3D stuff—it just feels hollow to me. It lacks soul, it lacks character, and it just doesn't have that same life to it.

Over the last few days, they've been dropping a handful of teasers to build hype for the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated movie. You can check some of them out here, along with a special surprise video they put together. 😁

Wait, Seth Green made that?
The guy known for his roles in Austin Powers (as Dr. Evil's son) and for being in Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

I just sat down and watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and honestly? I’m pretty stoked. I was fully expecting a total dud, but it actually holds up way better than I thought it would. The plot is genuinely engaging and packed with action—it really captures that gritty, war-torn vibe. 😁

On the flip side, the CGI is pretty rough around the edges. There are moments where certain sequences look like they were ripped straight out of an old PlayStation game. Character expressions are super limited too; most of them have maybe two or three facial expressions total, and they don't look much like the actual actors (except for Obi-Wan 😁). Mace Windu doesn't even look like Samuel L. Jackson, and Yoda looks like he hasn't slept in a week with those massive dark circles under his eyes. Then you've got Count Dooku, who comes off as this sort of distinguished, old-school gentleman with a huge mustache, broad shoulders, and that dignified posture you'd expect from a high-ranking veteran. 😁

The score is definitely a highlight, and I loved that unconventional opening where they used a narrator instead of the usual text crawl. All in all, I'm looking forward to a fun series that's perfect for just chilling out and turning your brain off. Oh, and one more thing: Ahsoka Tano has more jokes coming out of her than Jerry Seinfeld, Ben Stiller, and Željko Pervan put together. 😁

I just remembered that they actually show that secret Sith character (Asajj Ventress) in this movie.

She definitely shows up, just like she did in the first Clone Wars series. 🙂

She’s probably just some weak Sith if Anakin Skywalker took her out that easily.
(at least that's my guess, I haven't actually watched it yet)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits theaters on August 15th. Think of it as a cinematic gateway to the animated Clone Wars series launching this fall. Dave Filoni is at the helm for the direction, and we've got some heavy hitters returning to voice the original cast, including Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), Christopher Lee (Count Dooku), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Matthew Wood (General Grievous). It’s a bit of a bummer that Yoda isn't voiced by Frank Oz this time around, but instead we have Tom Kane, who actually provided the voice for Yoda in the original Clone Wars series.

You can check out the trailer here.

But honestly, it's just a cartoon. 😢 What's really the point of watching it? 🤷 It feels a bit like heading to the theater to watch an animated version of "Alien: Rise of terror" or something along those lines. Give me a break! 🤣

Look... if you actually care about Star Wars, it shouldn't matter to you whether it's animated or not.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I'm definitely going to watch it.😉
