If all of this turns out to be true, we are looking at a massive problem. This definitely warrants some investigation.

Could someone with an Apple device and a remote-start vehicle please test this? Let us know if anyone actually experiences any issues.😕😕😕

Can someone with an Apple and a car with a remote key fob check this out? Let me know if anything actually happens.??😕😕😕

The thing about the Apple battery doesn't work, and neither does the car remote trick.

The only thing that works is the 911 part. I know because I’ve called them before when some junkies set a house on fire. Also, the Apple serial number trick works. I'm not sure if the phone locks up when you call the carrier since I haven't tried that, but once you type that sequence in, the serial number pops up right on the screen.

Can someone please ban the idiot who started this thread? ☕

Just dropping some actually useful info here...

Go grab the FlashGot addon for Firefox. It can seriously speed up how fast web pages load. You just have to tweak the settings first. Once you're in the Firefox options, go into the RIP settings to dial in the speed boost. After that, pages will pop open lightning fast. 😬

A little nugget of actual useful info for once...

Grab the FlashGot addon for Firefox. It can speed up page loading—you just have to mess with the settings first. Once you tweak the RIP options in Firefox to optimize the acceleration, pages should pop open pretty fast. 😬

Thanks for the kind words.🤮

here's some more pro tips:

-hit the beach with at least SPF 30 and stay in the shade
-if a bear attacks you, just drop to your stomach and play dead
-if you aren't brave enough for that, just bolt downhill—bears are slower going down than they are up (or vice versa, whatever)
-never approach a lady with a "hey girl, let's hook up" line... ever

-Never approach a woman with something as crude as "hey baby, I want you"... ever.

That last one is particularly useful advice. 😂

Walter Cooper10 said:HOW TO RENDER YOUR PHONE COMPLETELY USELESS IF IT GETS STOLEN
First things first, you need to grab your phone's serial number. To find it, just dial *#06# and that 15-digit string will pop up right on your screen. That number is unique to your specific device, so write it down and tuck it away somewhere safe. If some thief swipes your phone, give your carrier a call, read them that serial number, and they can blacklisted the device entirely—making it nothing more than an expensive paperweight even if the thief swaps out the SIM card. Look, you probably won't get the hardware back, but at least you'll have the peace of mind knowing the crook is left holding a useless brick. If everyone played it this way, stealing phones would pretty much lose its appeal overnight.

It’s a band-aid solution, sure, but it beats being totally helpless when things go south.😁

-never walk up to a lady and say "hey girl, I want to sleep with you"... ever

hit me with some more wisdom.

I'll throw one out there too regarding how to avoid a bear attack. Just stay away from them. Keep your distance. If you do that, the chances of a bear attacking you are tiny. Or like my neighbors say—don't poke the bear.

One more tip about snakes. Don't go sticking your hand into holes in the wild or under rocks. If you do, your chances of getting bitten are way lower.

Fine, here’s a tip from me on how to avoid a bear attack. Just stay away from bears—keep your distance. If you don't go looking for trouble, the chances of a bear deciding you look like a snack are pretty slim. Or, as my neighbors back home would say, "don't poke the bear."

Here’s another one regarding snakes. Don't go shoving your hands into holes in the ground or under rocks out in the wild; if you do, your odds of getting bitten drop significantly.

And if a snake actually does get you, try to cut off the circulation. If you get bit on the palm, for instance, tie a cloth or a shirt tightly around your wrist to limit blood flow from the hand—otherwise, the venom spreads through your system and things can get fatal fast. You can keep the arm bound until you reach a doctor and get the antivenom, but obviously, don't leave it tied too long... People with actual experience also know how to attempt to draw out most of the venom...

Here’s a little nugget of wisdom that I bet hasn't crossed anyone's mind yet. You want to know the absolute best sport for self-defense? Track and field, obviously. 🙂 Think about it. If you're facing off against some thief, you can easily just land a solid punch to the ribs. But if you just bolt? They won't even bother chasing you. Most thieves are nothing but lazy bums who steal because they're too unmotivated to work, so they aren't going to break a sweat running after you. Or, if they're junkies, they usually have zero cardio anyway. Just run somewhere they wouldn't even think of looking.

Track and field, obviously. 🙂 If you end up squaring off with some thief, you can easily land a solid punch to the ribs. But if you just run? They won't bother chasing you—most thieves are lazy enough to steal just because they don't want to work, so running isn't worth their effort. Or maybe they're just junkies who lack any semblance of cardio. You just run somewhere they wouldn't even think of following.

Really? I wouldn't go that far... I remember back during those skinhead attacks, there was this guy caught at a train station at 2 AM. As soon as he realized what their deal was, he tried to bolt, but three or four of them took off after him. Once they caught up, they absolutely laid him out—concussion, multiple broken bones from a baton, the whole works. And of course, they had to ask where he was from and mock him for running, otherwise, he might have escaped without losing his wallet, phone, and jewelry... So, look, either you have to look like one of them, or you need to carry a blade at least 15 inches long, or a gun—airsoft or real. Honestly, man, there isn't much of another option.

I'm right there with you on that one...
I really hope people don't actually try this stuff in real life because that would be a disaster😬...

Well, I guess there are a few exceptions to that rule

Poke it, shoot it, knock it out, kick it right in the beak, pelt it with rocks, or just go for the eyes... Or, you know, just run. 🤷
