🙏 🙏 :S 🙏 I can't even begin to make sense of that—it looks like someone had a stroke mid-sentence or perhaps just sat on their keyboard. If this was meant to be a coherent thought or a genuine contribution to the discussion, I'm afraid it missed the mark entirely. Honestly, if we're going to have actual conversations here, let's try to use actual words.🙏...🙏

Absolutely stellar 🙏 🙏 🙏
The crowd was surprisingly chill 😍
The audience was just as fantastic 👍 (honestly, I wasn't expecting nearly this many people to show up)

Everything was organized perfectly—it’s like how Coachella handles things 👍. They had plenty of kiosks to swap out those wristband credits, the bar lines moved smoothly without any ridiculous waiting, and they actually provided enough benches to sit down for a breather...

I thought Lily’s set was pretty terrible, honestly. The only redeeming quality was the crowd, though even they looked a bit lost—just standing there with these vacant expressions, staring off into space. It was kind of a mess. I can appreciate Kraftwerk, but I could never sit through a full set of theirs. On the other hand, Franz Ferdinand was just too intense for me at times, though they were absolutely brilliant. Truly blew me away. Also, that silent disco thing? Such a clever idea. All in all, it’s been a fantastic day, and I’m genuinely looking forward to getting back out there later.

I suppose I'm not quite sure...

Lilly Allen is a rather charming girl, and she doesn't nearly have the figure everyone seems to claim, but her music is honestly quite mediocre. I'm just sitting here sipping some wine and watching TV... la la la la le ly... It’s a bit amusing seeing "Lilly Allen" printed on the drum kit. I suppose if Taylor Swift were playing, it would be more fitting to have "Taylor Swift" written on the drums for her.

Listening to Kraftwerk felt a bit like walking into some quiet lounge bar... the music plays at a moderate volume, four guys just standing behind a stand, everything is so flat... I don't really get the appeal... 🤷

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a subpar band and they lack actual songs. Not a single one—nothing with a real chorus or structure. Plus, the lead singer carries this irritating attitude of someone who thinks she's much more attractive than she actually is. Period.

Nokia performing on the Rokia stage was alright, though those African-inspired patterns start to feel a bit repetitive after a few minutes.

Franz Ferdinand is a decent band; they got a little tedious with those disco-prog sections, but they were fine... I actually quite enjoyed them.

I caught a bit of Hammerfall or Hatebreed, or whatever the name was, and I don't really understand it either, but they are much more likable than the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. At least they actually know how to play their instruments.

The highlight of the lineup was definitely Green Day.🙄

Lily Allen was fantastic. I have to agree that the crowd felt a bit stale at times. 🤷It was only once she started playing the hits that people actually started moving. (Kudos to anyone who knew more than three of her songs, I suppose.)

YYY were great—high energy and overall just excellent. 😁

Kraftwerk was interesting. I hadn't listened to them much before, so they actually surprised me; they were phenomenal, even if listening to them for such a long stretch felt a little taxing.

Foo Fighters were incredible—the songs, everything. I assumed they would only play material from the new album, but they included older tracks too, which I really appreciated.

The organization was top-notch. With food vouchers and stalls every ten yards or so, I don't really have any complaints. 🙂

An excellent evening, all around. 🙂

Man 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 Kraftwerk 🙏 , I honestly don't even know how to put my excitement into words. They played a solid ninety minutes, maybe a little longer. It was kind of annoying when they spent too much time on those lighter tracks, but once they hit TEE and We Are the Robots 👋... man. But like I said before, I’d much rather see them headlining their own solo show instead of being just another act at a massive festival like Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

From what I heard about the rest of the lineup, the French acts were alright and Rokia was decent too, but Lily was just boring. I was basically counting down the minutes until she finished.

I’ve checked out Hammerfall or maybe Hatebreed—whatever the hell they're called—and I don't really get them either, I guess, but I like them way more than yeah yeah yeah. At least they actually know how to play their instruments.

Rokia Traoré was hands down the best. That woman has incredible charisma 🙂
Kraftwerk is worth watching once...
Yikes... totally bland, boring, and way too hyped up
Ugh... I'm not a fan, but you have to admit they put on a solid show.
Dimmu Borgir... so much fun. A total circus 🤣

I actually kind of liked Lilly because she’s got that little bit of a belly, which is cute... but honestly, she’s such a bore. She just doesn't have that spark needed to really get a crowd moving.
With Kraftwerk, the whole thing is basically just their weird little films and them tapping away at those synthesizers. It's decent enough, I guess, but it's definitely not for everyone—including me.

kind of reminds me of Dave Grohl

for me, Hatebreed, combined with Kraftwerk and some burgers, was the absolute highlight of day one.

Kraftwerk was absolute perfection. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever experience a concert quite that legendary again in my entire life.

Lily is such a sweetheart 🙂

Metallica killed it—what an incredible performance!

Franz... I mean, they were alright, but they just couldn't really grab my attention. A bit boring for my taste, though they did fine enough.

I’ve got to be there by 5:00 today to catch the opening acts 🙂)

I honestly cannot fathom why they feel the need to confine all the metalheads to that specific corner of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival stage rather than letting us roam free everywhere else

I went primarily for Kraftwerk, and honestly, I can only say 🙏🙏🙏 those ninety minutes were some of the best musical experiences of my entire life—I absolutely love them 😍😍😍
.
Rockia was alright, I guess, but I’m not really into Franz so I skipped their set entirely. As for Lily, I only caught their last song because we happened to be walking by right then, though they aren't really my cup of tea either 😬. Dorfmeister started off strong enough, but ended up just rambling along with some commercial jingle at the end.

Organization-wise, everything inside the venue was fine, but things went south when we arrived at the stadium grounds. There were zero signs pointing us in the right direction—we practically stumbled upon the entrance before realizing there was no way through. We ended up having to loop all the way around the concession stands with everyone else trying to head back. We wasted about an hour just wandering around 👎. They really should have posted where the shuttles were picking up or provided even a basic directional sign 👎
.
Tonight, the plan is to head out for Moby and Jack White 😍

Lily was compared to Taylor Swift by a colleague earlier, and just before that, my friend Silvije called her the American version of Danijela Martinović—there’s definitely something going on there
Hatebreed played earlier in the evening, which I really wasn't expecting—to be honest, I didn't even feel like seeing them, my buddy basically dragged me along—but they absolutely KILLED IT. Their covers of Fugees and Slayer were the most extreme tonal shifts I've ever heard in one set, just pure, unrelenting heavy machinery... A fantastic shoutout to the crowd at the end, "we love you! we're Hatebreed!" 😬
Because of them, I was late for Kraftwerk and I don't regret it for a second. I watched three songs and couldn't grasp the appeal. "Radioactivity" touched me a bit—probably their best track—but then again, a scratchy old record could move me just as much. I can't imagine what else they could have booked for that kind of money 😢
Yeahsi just didn't work for me, for some reason. The sound was muddy and quiet (and I wasn't even that far back), and the performances... I don't know. Maybe I was still too wired from Hatebreed? But I came wanting to hear those songs, I heard them, and yet it still fell flat. Maybe if they had played somewhere smaller and more intimate? I wish I could have a do-over; it's a shame it turned out this way.
Franz was amazing! Hit after hit, they play incredibly well, looking as polished as boy band members, and that great effort to cater to the local vibe (a cheap trick, but it works—think of how certain icons used to do it)—that moment when the guy shouted LOUDER!!! It was genuinely great, charming, and beautiful. They stretched out the songs at the end a bit, which I don't think suits them, but otherwise, a stellar performance. A truly solid pop group.
The idiots were excellent as always, though my heart ached watching certain parts of the crowd—how can someone throw an empty cup, or fail to sing along to the new choruses? I felt like I was singing better than some half-hearted drunks, and if it sounded that bad to ME, I can only imagine what it sounded like to everyone else 😢 They played "this isn't the place for us" and the festival's best song, but it's not over yet 👋 <- me in the front row

Nowadays, I glance at Art Brut or Editors just enough to see what they're about, and then I head straight to the metal stage and refuse to budge ☕ darkmoose15, see you there?
