So, I think Lady Gaga is set to perform at Madison Square Garden in October, right?
And Muse too, I suppose? Yup. 🙄
Honestly, it wouldn't even surprise me if they actually ended up taking the stage after all this talk. 😢

I can't quite tell if this is a subtle dig—if it is, it’s pretty masterfully done 🙏—or if you just struggle with basic logic
here's my take...

Does anyone know where I can grab tickets online? And when does the whole festival actually kick off—how long does the thing run for? If anyone happens to have all the details, I’d be incredibly grateful. Also, if you know who else is on the lineup, even better... I'm really hoping 😁Lily
shows up again.

They haven't dropped the lineup yet, so we're all just stuck waiting like everyone else... nothing much to do but chill and wait
Personally, I'm crossing my fingers for Muse, Paramore, Kings of Leon, or The Killers 😉
Honestly, if any one of them shows up, I'll be more than happy... just happy to be there😁

You're aiming way too high with those numbers. Most of the acts you mentioned are probably pulling in bigger paychecks right now than all the headliners we've seen combined so far.

I guess we can dream 😛

...true...but for solo shows though...

If you actually understood how the promotion game works, you'd realize that bands usually pull in way more from the festival circuit than they do from standalone gigs—some even make several times as much.

Oh, sure. A booking for Muse or Crystal Castles costs way more than Nick Cave, Franz Ferdinand, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Kraftwerk, Moby, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Morrissey combined 😁 clearly you really understand how the concert promotion business works 😁

When Muse played in New York City—I can't even remember what those tickets ran back then—they were way more expensive than anyone on this list. Maybe not all of them combined, but they were easily about three times the price of the next closest thing.

They're playing at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd. Tickets are about $25...

At this point, their base ticket price is at least triple what it was just two years ago. You're looking at enough cash to cover an entire weekend at Coachella and then some.
