I'm dropping cash on another full Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival pass just for the hope that Dropkick Murphys show up... 🙂

Massive Attack just jumped from the top of my imaginary "bands I need to see" list straight to the very peak of my even more imaginary 😬 "bands I absolutely have to see again" list, so 👋
Honestly, though, it feels like the organizers could’ve skipped them and Flogging Molly and instead booked some acts at the same price point that would actually draw a massive crowd—you know, because they haven't played in Chicago since last year... Who knows, right? I'm guessing Massive will probably headline the main stage one night, so a lot of it really comes down to whoever closes out the second stage, I suppose. Just rambling now! 😳
And as for Supertramp? Man, I wouldn't even be getting hyped if this were their first time touring the States, would I?

Bottom line: it's a good thing those of us who missed out on Massive Attack a few months back will finally have the chance to fix that screw-up this year. 😍

Same here.😍 Yeah, it might be a bit of a bummer for people who aren't fans, but hey, what can you do? Now we've got acts like The Strokes, TCV, Rage Against the Machine, Muse...

Since they seem to be recycling the same bands that have already played in Chicago, I guess they really ought to book a massive headliner this time to get the whole crew excited! Maybe it would need to be someone like Rage Against the Machine or Placebo to really make it happen

Look, Placebo is solid, but this new album? It’s a total dud.
Anyway, I'd bet anything that more people will show up for Massive Attack than for them...

but they haven't been around much lately, and I guess their new album is just absolutely killing it.

but hey, that's just your (very "modest") opinion

Is there actually any realistic shot at seeing Rage Against the Machine live, or is this just a collective fever dream from everyone on this forum?😕

Chemicals, Fatboy Slim, and Pendulum have never even set foot in America, so I’m holding out hope that one of those three finally makes an appearance...
Massive Attack is alright, I suppose, but if I actually intended to sit around listening to them, I might as well be sitting in Madison Square Garden...

Massive Attack is alright, I guess, but if I actually wanted to listen to them, I’d just stay home in my living room...
Pendulum was here in the US back in 2007

Where exactly? Can anyone provide a link? 😲

just search YouTube for "2007 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival performance" 🙂
Bad Company played with them too... though Noisia bailed at the very last second...

Man, Chicago is going to be absolutely packed with massive shows this June. Bob Dylan just got announced, and from what I'm hearing, there’s another huge concert hitting the schedule on June 20th.

Well, not really—they aren't exactly my style, but I’d still catch their set, just like I've watched every other performer at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival so far.😉
