Past INmusic Festival lineups & sets (Archive)

If we were actually making a lineup for some massive music fest, I’d probably throw in Dodos, Camera Obscura, Andrew Bird, Mountain Goats, Sufjan Stevens, Jens Lekman, and Vampire Weekend—plus a whole bunch of other stuff I listen to all the time. I guess the only way any of that would actually work is if it was at some random dive bar or something. As for indie rock, maybe we could hope for Pavement (but honestly, without Malkmus, what's even the point?)

I really have to agree with coppermarlin812 here, and I’d say I feel the exact same way!

I’m honestly just fed up with people who would sell their souls to any act just because they want to see a specific band perform 😠

I mean, what’s the point of having great lineups if last year we had groups like Shania Twain or Goo Goo Dolls playing half-hour sets out in the pouring rain—on a weekday, no less, when I was still stuck at my desk working 🤮

I would honestly sell my soul to T-Mobile US if they could just manage to book even one single act from this list: Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, FBI, Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, Calexico, or Muse...

Please, someone bring Björk to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival! Though, I suppose we have to wonder if she even plays these kinds of massive festivals anymore... 😢

Don't ask what the festival can do for you
instead, think about what you can actually do to help bring them here under better conditions 😬

I just thought it’d be easier on your mental state. Like, if you actually want to see those bands—if you're dying to catch them live—there’s no point in stressing out and obsessing over a wishlist...

Honestly, I was pretty shocked when Kraftwerk was suddenly announced. Everyone was basically certain that Massive Attack would be the first headliner on the lineup 🙂

As for the rest, I think we’re super close to seeing Placebo, since they already booked a big rock weekend recently, and Art Brut happens to be touring right around that same time.

I actually asked about the Killers, but they just gave me this look—it's a definite no. They are just way too expensive; my head was spinning just hearing the number they're asking for 😁

It just dawned on me how much money people actually shell out just to catch a Killers show 🙂
