Not like we’re getting snow in the States, but this deal is absolutely insane. Someone should probably try to organize a group buy.
You're still getting about $20 worth of V-bucks for Fortnite 😁

Reminds me of that old saying, "it's only a matter of time until things go south."

With stuff like this, you're basically just waiting for the inevitable explosion.

The pricing here is actually quite solid.
It’s definitely worth picking up $283 for the 570
.

If what he said is true—that he only mined for three months and bought them right at the Bitcoin peak—then he really blew it.
I just don't get why he's waiting until now to sell instead of having mined with them for a full year. It seems sketchy; I bet those things have been running 24/7 this whole time.

With stuff like this, it's just a matter of time before things blow up.

Claims he bought them between July and October 2017, then hit the jackpot. Back then, those cards paid for themselves in 2-3 months. Plus, he probably ran them through a business to dodge sales tax.

He’s down to his last few now; who knows when he started selling.

I don't buy the part about them running for two weeks, but it doesn't really matter. Anyone with a massive rig was definitely flashing the BIOS and locking them at 0.85V. At most, you'd wear out a fan, and there's still a warranty on that, so......

I don't buy the part about them only running for two weeks, but it doesn't really matter. Someone running that many GPUs was definitely undervolting them to 0.85V. The only thing that could have worn out is the fan, and they're still under warranty so......

Between July and October, he picked up 19 cards that sold out fast.

Yeah, my bad. I miscounted.

Still, I think it’s a solid deal, provided you actually get the original receipt and a valid warranty.

DDR4 16GB (2X8GB), DDR4 3000, CL16, DIMM 288-PIN, G.SKILL Aegis F4-3000C16D-16GISB - $244

Aside from high-end GPUs, I guess once the Ryzen 3000 drops, it might actually be the best time ever to build a PC.

EDIT:

A new Samsung NVMe, though it seems a bit slower than the 970 EVO or an SX8200 Pro...

SSD 512GB TS MTE220S PCIe M.2 - $208

The price on that RTX 2060 is a tough pill to swallow. Honestly, why bother? You can grab an RTX 2070 for about the same amount, and it’ll blow that Vega out of the water while pulling half the power. Makes no sense.

Well, just give me the lowest price then. 😬

It’s actually a pretty solid deal if you want to mess around with that beast... that specific model is often faster than a GTX 1080. Otherwise, yeah, it looks kind of meh compared to an RTX 2060.

Maybe it works for a specific niche of games or some pro workload.

But honestly, the RTX 2060 sits right in that spot where it's basically a GTX 1070 Ti—close to a GTX 1080—and Vega (especially without water cooling) isn't even averaging better than a GTX 1080.

Aside from the RTX 2060, there’s just no point; the value is garbage, and you aren't seeing any real performance gains unless you're looking at something stronger than an RTX 2080.

(It's 11% weaker than an RTX 2070, despite being 25% cheaper)

I honestly don't think anyone's been picking up Vega cards for months now...

If you want to actually move some V64 units, the price has to be max $833. If you take a look at the performance summary and the performance per watt metrics, plus $267how much less you get for the flagship model here
.
I mean, you have the $933RTX 2060s sitting there offering roughly comparable performance, nearly double the efficiency, and even that ray tracing option—as useless as it may be. Nobody is going to lose their mind over a V64 priced at $833, but at a lower point, they might actually sell.

Fine, then just give me the lowest price 😬

It's a decent deal if you want to mess around with that beast... that model actually beats out the GTX 1080 quite often. Otherwise, yeah, it looks pretty weak next to an RTX 2060.

Now you're screwing me over for 60 bucks--$23 what I missed 😬

Anyway, prices are generally a bit lower today 😂
