Honestly, I really don't give a damn about typing out a detailed response to this post while it's 98 degrees outside.
In short:
*I couldn't care less why Jura wouldn't perform that song in Belgrade.
*It wasn't the collective responsibility of three different ethnic groups that caused the war, but rather the collective failure of the three governments in power at the time; plus, there's the individual responsibility of every single person who actually caused chaos during the conflict, though those are always the hardest people to track down and hold accountable.
*Please don't try to compare me to that artist, because I truly see zero resemblance between us.
*The whole war madness affected me quite deeply, so I just packed up all my records—including Obojeni program's "important to be healthy" and Kud Idijot's "We're only here for the money"—and moved to Australia.

Nothing about this shocks me. Especially not when someone from Mexico claims they didn't realize Sarajevo was being shelled until 1995, or that they only found out about what happened in Srebrenica in 2000. It's not shocking because it fits perfectly with my perception of most people from that country.

It’s that specific brand of ignorance—like when an aunt calls me from a suburb of Belgrade to tell me we're being shelled by Green Berets and some fanatic militias, while just five meters from my front door, I can see an armored vehicle full of paramilitaries preparing to round up everyone—young and old, us and them—to take to a camp.

The late Himzo🙏, who stormed in with a Kalashnikov and gave them hell for me, isn't a savage. He's a hero.🙏

I won't go further. This isn't a bus ride where we sit around discussing politics.

So, according to you, only Mexicans committed atrocities during the war, and absolutely nobody else did, which is apparently why you’ve decided to harbor a grudge against almost an entire nation? Great.
