Blood work testing in Washington, D.C.

I’m currently a student in Washington, D.C., and my primary care doctor—who’s actually back in my hometown rather than here in the city—just gave me a referral for some blood work. I really want to get this done while I'm here in D.C., but honestly, I have no clue where to go. I know there are endless hospitals and labs scattered everywhere, but I’m looking for somewhere central that isn't a private clinic. Ideally, I'd love a spot where the turnaround time for results isn't a total nightmare. Any suggestions?

Maybe try the community health center near Union Station; they have an on-site lab. Or perhaps check out the student health clinic near the downtown cathedral.
