A knight from the ranks of the Comparativists arrives just in time to save Dami 😬

Man, thank god the literature set didn't have to share the stage with Spleen at that Nicaragua festival 😳 🙂

There wasn't a second day of wine festivals. It didn't affect me particularly, though I suppose it was a bit rough on Kyle Jackson54 since he isn't much of a beer drinker. 😢It felt somewhat melancholy to watch a man who would gladly spend his money on drinks, yet finds himself unable to.

I actually saw/heard a girl crying while I was heading out on the first night because her wristband snapped. At the entrance, there was her and a friend, plus two cops just being like, "those are the rules, blah blah, our hands are tied..."
Apparently, her band broke or whatever, and once she realized it might be an issue, she did the "honest" thing and went to ask them about it, only for them to tell her she couldn't get back in the next day unless she bought another ticket.😠 I would've lost it if that happened to me.
There are definitely better ways to handle wristbands. They should step up if they want to be considered top-tier festivals.
Next year, I'm sneaking in and bringing my own food in a waterproof bag because I know I'll be hungry...🙄

She should've just patched it up. I patched mine and walked right in, then we even helped some guy who didn't buy a ticket sneak in after us. That girl just lacks a little ingenuity. Too bad...🙂

If you didn't support Skrillex, you're wrong. 😠

When is the next one? We're running out of fast food joints damn

I don't have the energy right now to explain how much fun we actually had, but I promise I will eventually... 😳

goldenhound8 said:The crowd went absolutely wild and shoved me right away from my friends. Suddenly I was standing there all by myself without anyone watching over me. And honestly? Once I’m left to my own devices, I always end up causing some kind of trouble.😳

So, we've finally made it. We're here. 🙂 That’s just how it goes when I'm feeling soft-hearted. I didn't end up following through on that little promise I made you recently about tying myself to a tree and taping my mouth shut with electrical tape. What am I even saying to you?!😈
I can personally vouch for that wild energy. That beast went absolutely feral. With seven banks set up like that, they’ll definitely pull the wildest crowd out of the ladies' section. I saw it happen at the Iggy Pop show—a couple of older women were trying to grab him just as aggressively. I witnessed the whole thing.🍿So, one girl was perched right on the fence, and this other one wasn't even on the fence, though she definitely wanted to be. Then things escalated fast. One elbowed the other right in the ribs, and then the second one swung back at her. It was honestly about to turn into a full-blown brawl if some guy hadn't stepped in to hold them back. In my humble opinion, that poor second girl didn't even get a fair shot at getting even with the first one.🙂

Man, talk about high energy. I couldn't even get a decent shot of him on my phone because he wouldn't stay still for even a single second. The guy has some serious force behind him. As for the set? Honestly, it was just okay. Nothing special. The mountains shook, a bear was born... that's basically it. They played the exact same thing twice within an hour of the show. 🙂

I thought Hold Steady was absolutely killer. Honestly, I don't know how that guy manages to memorize lyrics like that. It’s impressive.😵 He’s got a great vibe. The way he handles those keys, he really knows how to command the stage.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, man. It’s the real deal. Tested and approved.
Happy Mondays are pretty boring.

Hey, dear analogpilot382, wasn't it enough? You've said it like 163 times already—that the New Year's Day headliners are the absolute best act at the festival. Well, I haven't seen that happen! 😠 I went to SXSW and was pleasantly surprised. The woman absolutely crushed it.

I was honestly pretty shocked by the massive crowd. They just stood there with total composure, braving those insane lines just to snag some vouchers and a couple of beers. $5.00...🙏

Looking ahead to next year: we need more days. We definitely need to allow people to bring in their own food—especially for those poor souls who were basically breaking their backs just trying to set up tents. Also, let's stop scheduling the massive headliners at the exact same time. And for heaven's sake, please, let's get some actual cheese in those sandwiches instead of just calling them cheese sandwiches. 🙂

Reading through some of these posts, I often get the feeling that certain people weren't even at the same festival I was... then I remember those old sayings about how everyone has their own version of truth, taste, and perspective...

As far as I can remember, nobody’s brought this up yet—but I just found out firsthand that the lineup they were originally planning for this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was actually Green Day, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Robert Plant, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Coral, Belle and Sebastian, The Dead Kennedys, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, The Avett Brothers, North American Beat Box, Magnetic Resonators, Forest, Afion, and Urban & 4 sreća.

Thank God it turned out way better than that 🙂

Luckily, things turned out way better than expected. 🙂

🙄 Alright then... 😢

Oh, before I even click that link, let me just check the forecast—I’d rather not show up to that festival only to realize there’s absolutely nothing for me to enjoy... 😢

Alright man, what did they actually announce at the press conference? There isn't a single thing posted on the Official festival website yet... 🤷

I just caught wind of that over on the National Park thread. It honestly made my day 😁.
It looks like the ticket window will open again soon, though I think I'll be the only one actually biting during this first window from January 28th to February 28th.

If I’m reading the official festival website correctly, it seems like tickets for that initial period might start rolling out around $83, similar to how it worked last year? And if they happen to offer a discount starting from $17, well, that would be absolutely wonderful 😁.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I just saw that the discounted price is actually $83. That is even better than I thought 😉.
