Tickets for Cave were priced at $280, $300, and $110.

So there's no question—I'm heading to the festival. It’s happening just for them. That's the whole point. Everything else on the bill is just a nice little extra, regardless of who actually shows up.

And honestly, imagine if they added Arctic Monkeys... The Killers... Razorlight... or even Mando Diaio!!
Interpol... Editors...
Band of Horses... Athlete... British Sea Power!

Right now, we only know about Caveman—but let's say he does a solo show outside of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, maybe at Madison Square Garden instead. The ticket would probably cost just as much anyway $83.

They’ve already announced about 30 acts for Coachella, so if there are even two or three more bands in that lineup I actually want to see, that's enough reason for me to take the gamble 🙏.

Exactly 🙂—they already posted what Nick Cave tickets went for earlier. And they weren't exactly cheap when he played Madison Square Garden the first time, either. Plus, I’d have to commit to both days—by the time I pay for travel to Vegas... money just flies out the window. Honestly, this will probably be the cheapest Nick Cave concert I ever attend 🙏.

If you're talking about Cavea performing with the Seeds at Central Park back in '01, that was easily one of the top three concerts I've ever seen.🙏🙏🙏

vividcanyon2 said:Exactly. 🙂 People already mentioned what Nick Cave tickets cost before. They weren't even much cheaper when he first played at Carnegie Hall. Plus, I have to hit both days, which means traveling out toward Philly... money just disappears. This is probably going to be my cheapest Nick Cave show ever. 🙏

Keep in mind this isn't Nick Cave "solo" like that Carnegie Hall gig; he’s performing with the Bad Seed. 👍

I think $83 for the festival is more than fair and actually a great deal, regardless of the fact that it falls on a Tuesday and Wednesday or whatever other lineup details we don't know yet.

At the end of the day, we're just a small part of the US, and someone made a good point earlier—we can't really compete with those massive mega-festivals. Trying to coordinate timing and artist availability with everyone's expectations is a nightmare. We should honestly just be grateful to have a festival like this (small but sweet) at this price point.

I just hope the organizers learned their lesson from last year and fix the mistakes that don't even require a huge budget... more vendor stalls, more bathrooms, and better beer instead of that watered-down stuff.

Yeah, that’s the one. When Saint Huck started, I honestly thought I was going to need an ambulance to get me out of there.🙏 🙏 😍 🙏 🙏 😍 🙏 🙏

crimsonheron982 said:It's about time Nick Cave stopped doing those "solo" gigs at Carnegie Hall and actually toured with the Bad Seed again...👍

He actually performed with the Bad Seed at Carnegie Hall for the first time.

The first time he played was with Bad Seed at the local concert hall.

I meant the last time he was around...

I'm totally with electrocuting (man, don't hate me🙂), but honestly, if any band I actually like showed up, I wouldn't care a damn where they played...
Sure, it’d be nicer if it were somewhere like an iconic club in NYC or Austin, but even if they played at a local Community Center in a small town, I'd show up.☕
chill out.

As for me, during The Curse of Millhaven—when that guy was just standing there holding those lyric sheets in front of him—I nearly lost my mind. 😍 😍

Kimberly Clark2 said:Pinkpop, rock festivals in parks and orchards—it’s all happening at the start of June. So why on earth didn't they organize a festival in freaking July or like they did last year?
Anyway, I'm way too annoyed to write any more. Peace!

The festival should have been in early July... but then again, that wouldn't have even been a weekend; people were talking about July 3rd. 😉 But like I already said, the festival caters to the headliners and what they want, not to the audience and our school or college schedules. Now it turns out everyone will just happen to be on break that exact day, yeah right. 🙄 Back when I was in college, I was just happy if some band eventually made their way to a nearby city, and I didn't complain about having to travel mid-week or sleeping in train stations... not to mention when I was 19, someone actually brought Sonic Youth to my hometown. Honestly, you guys are just way too spoiled. 👎

Susan Clark10 said:Man, that scene in *The Curse of Millhaven* gets me every time—specifically when the guy is just standing there holding up that one sheet with all the text right in front of his face. Total mouse move. 😍 😍

😍

And then there was this one girl carrying a bouquet—she was trying her hardest to squeeze into the front row, being all polite and everything, just asking if she could get through so she could give Nick Cave some roses. 😁

I'm with Robin Booth on this one—if we need to head over to the Community Center in Kozar Bok, let's just do it.

I find myself echoing the sentiments expressed by Raymond Barrett12. I’d throw a few more names into the mix: Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, The streets, Kate Nash, Lilly Allen, The Kooks, Dirty pretty things, Roots Manuva, Simian mobile disco, Digitalism, Pendulum, Krafty kuts, Lupe fiasco, CSS, and Dub pistols... Though, let’s be realistic, none of them will probably show up, will they? If we could just land even two or three acts from this list, I suppose I could live with that.🙂

Honestly, easily the best concert of the whole year. ☕

Anything is possible!!👍
Personally, I'd love to see Hold Steady again, maybe National too, then catch Bloc Party for the first time, plus Godspeed you Black Emperor, Arctic Monkeys, Spoon—why not even They Might Be Giants.
And why shouldn't Paul Weller headline the main stage?😕
Look, we can dream all we want. Whatever they manage to book and pay for, as long as they actually show up, that's what matters!
I actually liked last year's timing—having the festival toward the end of summer makes the transition into September a lot easier to swallow.
Last year was great for me; just the night before the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, hanging out with my girl near a local park... 😍 the roadies were busy setting up stages while we were just chilling on a bench by the trail......
