I don’t know what you guys are talking about, but if I remember correctly, most of the lineup was already pretty much set by this time last year.

Regarding Jazz at Lincoln Center, I saw them at an aquarium venue years ago. Honestly, seeing them live is kind of a snooze fest (their albums back then were decent enough, I guess). And what is up with that radio station? It feels like nobody plays music there except Ed Sheeran. If they aren't going to play anything else, he might as well be the face of the station and try to bring in Kruder and Dorfmeister at least.

Obviously, you need the electronic acts for Lollapalooza.

Yeah, but last year the festival was actually in August.

I mean, I’m talking about the start of the year, not just some random part of it.

Nah, you're wrong...check this news drop from three months before the festival... almost all the headliners were already announced back then...

It appears the main headliners have finally been announced—it seems everyone knows who they are now. 🤣

Check this out—here’s how one of the organizers responded to all the backlash regarding this year's lineup...

Basically, they were aiming to spotlight the world music scene, which I think is a cool move. Anyone running a festival like this should be able to curate a setlist based on what they actually love. If people aren't feeling it, well, there are plenty of other things to do around town or anywhere else in the US.

Yeah, but they really should've mentioned that before the tickets even went on sale. You can't just let people expect the same lineup as last year and then pull the rug out from under them like that. Honestly, I think that whole sales tactic is pretty shady. If they want to host a world music fest, fine, but I personally would never drop money on tickets for that kind of lineup.

Way back

but Larry Cooper40:
The festival isn't going to limit itself to just Anglo-American music—that would be way too regressive, honestly.

When are you ever actually gonna learn something new?😁

The biggest issue is that they knew the lineup while those early-bird tickets were still available...
This year, there was basically zero info out there besides The Cave, and I'm betting a lot of people grabbed their passes during that first window at the lowest price—assuming the lineup would fill out similarly to last year, or at least feature a similar vibe of artists.

Unless something major shifts regarding the talent, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival could honestly be a total disaster this year. 👎

If those are the kinds of people running the show—acting like they're the ultimate authorities on "world music"—then maybe they should try broadening their horizons and actually booking someone like Vampire Weekend...

I mean, I'm mostly just looking at this as a show for The Cave; the rest of the lineup doesn't really do anything for me..
As far as local cities go, they totally blew it when they tried to host Bob Dylan back in the day.🙏

I fail to see why they continue to bank everything on The Cave as their primary advertisement instead of highlighting some of the truly unclassifiable artists out there.☕

It feels like they're stuck in a loop, clinging to the same old names while ignoring all the incredible, genre-bending talent that doesn't fit into a neat little box. ☕

Hellou !! How is it possible that none of you realized this was an NBC & TBS production? Honestly, everyone seems to be completely misinformed here. It’s already been settled: the first day is TBS, and the second day features Grinderman.🤣😍

Hey, listen, if anyone happens to be looking for tickets at the old price ($250)—I’ve got three available—please feel free to shoot me a DM.
But wait, there’s more! If you jump on this one-of-a-kind deal right away, I’ll actually throw in a network card with a full two-year warranty for free 😬 (seriously, though)

The best place for buyers to pick these up: Seattle.

Honestly, there isn't much left to "find out" about this festival. Looking at Washington, D.C., the posters are already all over the City billboards and it's clearly a done deal. But if the festival runs for two days, the real question is who's headlining night one versus night two.

The organizer messed up the scheduling, but that VIP company—basically just some wannabe "yuppies" or whatever those quasi-cool modern managers call themselves—went all in on The Cave and spent way more than it's even worth just to land them.

But seriously, a lineup this bad is going to bite them in the ass. If this is the final version, I don't expect more than 3,000 or 4,000 people to show up.

Honestly, I have no clue who else could pull off being the second headliner.

Honestly, they really blew it on a global scale with Dylan.🙏

Maybe there's still a glimmer of hope for the VIP section, considering it looks like they're bringing in the Editors.
