I really need to come up with a fix...

Try crossing two rubber bands over opposite sides of the pillow and stretching them right over the ball🤷

Melissa Perez10 said:I’ve been dealing with this lower back pain for quite some time now, specifically centered in my lumbar region just to the left. It’s become one of those situations where if I bend over for even a few minutes, getting myself upright again feels like an uphill battle. Even something as simple as washing my hair over the edge of the tub leaves me unable to straighten out easily. Since I spend eight hours a day glued to a desk at the office, I could really use some advice here.

I’m running into the exact same issue, though I'm significantly younger. My job keeps me in an office chair for eight hours a day, and during finals week, that number jumps when I'm studying at home—sometimes I'm sitting for nearly 14 or 15 hours total. Even when I make a conscious effort to correct my posture about fifteen times a day, can anyone really expect that discipline to last longer than ten minutes?
It hurts every single time I lean forward, but the real sting comes when I try to pull myself back up. After enduring this for a year, I finally went for an X-ray, and it turns out my lowest vertebra is slightly compressed toward my pelvis (if that makes sense😕). They referred me to a physiatrist, and it looks like I'll be starting physical therapy soon to work on exercises designed to decompress and elongate my spine.
I’m hoping this finally provides some relief, but then there's the lingering question of how to actually maintain decent posture when the habit is so hard to break...😢

Laura Cox, you can actually study while lying down! It’s super effective if you lie on your stomach and prop yourself up on your elbows—like when you're reading, for instance—because it helps stretch your spine into that perfect C-curve.
You mentioned having issues with a slumped spine... honestly, I totally feel you on that—plus I've got three herniated discs at 8mm each. Just keep at the exercises, and really focus on your posture; make sitting upright a conscious habit. Of course, I have those days where I just forget and end up slouching like a pretzel... but I’m working hard to stay on top of it.
