Anyone seen Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues?

I can't believe there isn't even a thread dedicated to this movie.
It is hands down the best "absurd, stupid humor" comedy ever made!

Steve Carell actually outdid Will Ferrell here; he just absolutely shines in this role...

On the other hand, if you actually know English, you’d be better off watching it with the original subtitles. This kind of movie relies on specific jokes and wordplay that just get totally lost in an American translation...

Will Ferrell is such an absolute class act, and honestly, he deserves a truly special occasion for a movie like this 👍

Loved the first one, but this one? Total letdown.

I’d take the sequel over the original any day.
The whole thing is hilarious from start to finish.

From what I can tell, there isn't even a decent HD copy floating around online yet. I'll just wait until it actually drops.
The translation will probably follow shortly after that.

Watched it last night... I didn't really vibe with the first Anchorman when I rewatched it recently, so this one was definitely better. But let's not get ahead of ourselves—it wasn't a huge leap. Honestly, Farrell's constant, intentional overacting with all those facial expressions drives me crazy. Maybe that kind of humor just isn't my thing, but whatever... I did get a good laugh out of a few bits (again, not because of the overrated Farrell, but thanks to some other talented actors), and that cameo montage at the end is pretty unexpected. I'd give it a solid 6/10. 😉

Blu-ray drops on the 4th. Two more weeks to go.

Exactly. Local translations usually miss the mark, so whenever a movie is heavy on slang, I always go with the English subs. It’s the only way. I’ve got tons of absolute classics in my collection that I refuse to watch without them. Just imagine trying to catch the vibe of *Smokey and the Bandit* with a bad translation... total disaster.

Now, about the actual movie: I’m with the first guy here. Total garbage. The humor is bottom-of-the-barrel stupid. Honestly? It was embarrassing to sit through. I actually felt awkward watching it, and there wasn't even a single funny moment. Just mindless idiots. When you compare this trash to actual good comedies like *My Cousin Vinny* or *29th Street*, there’s really nothing left to say.

The first one’s a bit hit-or-miss—but honestly, the second part? It’s better because it’s just pure, unadulterated trash. 😁 Total blindness! 🤣

honestly idk what universe people are living in where the sequel is better, the whole thing feels forced and just sad, plus that blindness subplot was easily the worst part of the movie

That whole final sequence where the teams start clashing should’ve been handled way differently, you know? Instead of acting like it was some actual historical event, they just threw it in there.

As far as the comedy goes, it's classic Will Ferrell. A total legend 🙏

Like when he starts talking to that assistant working with Linda, but the guy's name is actually Donna 🤣
He lives out in a lighthouse 🤣 (since his computers were busted, they brought that up, though I guess it was more of a metaphorical thing, at least that's how it felt logically 🤣)
And then there's that pet shark he has for his son 🤣
Don't even get me started on the bet with that host. Jack blame, Dick Phuck legend but 🤣

Personally, I’m a fan of this kind of humor—at the end of the day, that's really all there is to it! If you dig that style, the movie is a total win; if you don't, then it's garbage. It’s the same logic when it comes to Jim Carrey and his comedies (even though he’s got some fantastic dramas under his belt, the comparison still holds true)...

I actually found myself laughing out loud at a few scenes—honestly, that’s exactly what keeps you hooked on the movie.

Some scenes are funny, but they don't touch the first one. Not for me, anyway...

Look, it’s definitely worse, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a total disaster just yet.
