Hey everyone, I was almost about to lose it laughing my head off here—I swear I was on the verge of an accident—but alright, I've calmed down now.
Look, I mean, sure, I can dance, but only if it’s something like a classic line dance or maybe some country two-step. I can handle a bit of a jig or even some heavy blues rhythm, but those weird regional styles from up north? No thanks. I don't have the patience for that.

I have to admit, I don't quite follow the logic here... look, let me be clear, I am not some superfan, I don't listen to her music, and I certainly have no desire to get dragged into endless debates regarding why her concert was canceled... but this whole narrative has started up where she's just some "stupid girl," blah blah blah. I didn't notice anyone being that aggressive toward her in this thread. Maybe a couple of people tossed out a "stupid girl" comment here and there, but it definitely hasn't turned into an "all we need is a reason to bash Britney Spears" kind of discussion. Looking strictly at them as entertainers:

* Britney is just who she is. Neither Britney nor, say, the Spice Girls were ever trying to sell some profound artistic depth; it was just uncomplicated pop music—nothing groundbreaking, and that's all there is to it.

* Britney is a great dancer and really radiates energy. Severina—well, I haven't seen her live, but then again, I've only ever seen Britney on TV either—has a certain grit to her.

* Britney didn't get political. Severina has gone back and forth on it constantly... sometimes she is, sometimes she isn't. 🙂

Why is it considered such a catastrophe that this tour hasn't been a business success for Severina? That kind of thing happens, and from what I gather, she's still incredibly popular here in the States.
