Is the forum down?

I’m guessing this isn't a software issue, but rather a hardware problem. It usually is. vBulletin is better than phpBB in most other ways, though I have to admit the version 3 interface looks pretty sharp 😁

Screw this forum. I could've been grabbing a coffee today, but instead, I'm here. Just shove this whole site into a floppy disk and call it a day.

My two cents: This has zero to do with hardware. We aren't looking at a server failure here; we’re looking at a mess of errors and bugs within vBulletin itself. You just don't see this kind of instability with phpBB.
phpBB has a much larger footprint, which means their developers squash bugs incredibly fast.

Better how? On price, for sure.😁

And what’s the end game here with the schema? It feels more like it's perpetually out of stock than actually available!

It's on the server.
If you have any other questions, please direct them to The Rock: ANDERLONA. As for me, I’m washing my hands of this entire situation, along with the rest of the moderators, super-mods, and admins. 🙂

IBM is miles ahead 😉
If you're broke, just have every single club send $1.75 directly to your account and see what happens
With enough cash, you could buy a luxury car or even the whole damn forum😁

This isn't really the right thread or subforum for this kind of talk, so I’ll back off 🙂
Enivies, the US is running the forum. We're just keeping an eye on things for them.

Look, the largest forum on the planet boasts several MILLION members and runs flawlessly on vBulletin. It actually functions—unlike this absolute wreck of a board.

The issue lies with the server. It’s a matter of having the budget to upgrade to something better.
It isn't the users.
It isn't the software.
It isn't the users.
It isn't the software.

But how exactly could the server be the problem?🙄

It looks like it’s only half-functional! Some members still can't get in at all. How does that even happen? What determines who gets access? I keep getting texts from people trying to log on, and... nothing!

The guy claiming it's a server error is talking nonsense. It's basic logic: either the server is running or it isn't. It doesn't just function "halfway."
We really ought to migrate to phpBB or some other third-party software.🙄 😁
