Look, Strokes falls squarely into the post-punk category—not disco punk. For me, the litmus test for all these bands was always either that steady thumping, driving beat or that specific downstroke picking style, and yeah, they all checked those boxes.😈

Man, back in the day, "The Lonesome Crowded West" was my absolute everything—it was pure gold. But then I actually sat down and listened to "Float On" and that entire album? Total disaster... honestly, it just completely lost me. And that’s exactly why they end up on my list of overrated bands.
