Just woke up to an email telling me I have to head out to Chicago tomorrow for some seminar, which means I CANNOT make it to Vienna. What a way to start the day. To anyone else heading out, please don't message me later talking about how much fun you had. Thanks 🙂

I finally threw in the towel last night, and now I'm left lugging around my whole kit—spare gloves, tissues, warm socks, the works...
Now I just feel like I've made a massive mistake.😢

Now I'm just feeling guilty about it.😢

That's fine, just one less report for us to read on the forum.😁 😉

C,c,c... don't get ahead of yourself... there are plenty more of us left to write things up.

😎

Honestly, I don't have much to say other than starting this thread... 😉

To mention the festival again, just so it's on the radar... Otherwise... the Nomads are flying in (they canceled their whole tour except for the show in Vienna) and it’s going to be a huge pressure on Monica to cover it. Just putting that out there...

@ Sanac

Speaking of being broke, Ace Volf told me he was hanging out with Kid Con. He was down about 1,000 EUR in BG. Let's hope we see him still alive and well.

@ urbanites

My brother used to tell me about Kid Con back when we were just freshmen in college... 19 carats in pre-sale... maybe he'll have to sell a kidney just to break even... damn... everyone screws up eventually...

Look at the Nomads... they didn't even have a "full tour" besides Vienna and maybe some random stops along the way... but given how much money they were asking for compared to their actual popularity, it’s no surprise they ended up only playing Vienna in the end.

You’re actually the one I’m most worried about—I guarantee you’ll swear this was legendary, and honestly, how could anyone doubt a man with a Johnny moped on his avatar?...😉

@ you're losing it

neidemjarane, I've been feeling like crap since yesterday. Working until 6, then heading straight home to sleep. Might swing by the happy hour in Austin...

Man, now you’ve got me thinking I should actually hunt down that one Little Queenie cover... Though honestly, everything from the moped era is gold. Hopefully there's actually something decent on Soulseek these days, because last time I checked, there wasn't even a single trace of the moped stuff online...

Or maybe I should just grab a rip from Dinko...

That sounds like a mission impossible... I still have his CD sitting here... honestly, it's been years... my bad. Everything else he did is on the LP.

Just hit me up sometime and I'll find a way to get it to you.

I’ve decided I'm going to put Alex Scott22 on my ignore list for a few days 😈 because I honestly can't deal with reading more about how amazing everything was in Vienna

Humph. I'll deal with that too. Maybe under a new handle.

It was a blast!
The only downside was the turnout—honestly, barely 300 people showed up to a space big enough to fit almost Spider-Man. The Meteors were definitely the highlight of the night, though. Pure, unadulterated trash. Especially that bassist and the drummer rocking those two "borrowed" cymbals. The Nomads? A bit underwhelming for my taste.
The funniest part was trying to spot any Canadians in the crowd. At The Meteors, you've got maybe 7 people out of a 10x10 area.🙄

Frank Howard3! Are you actually Alex Scott22? Is that you?

At least every single one of those doughnuts had their own square foot of space to play barefoot games on.
