The setlist was honestly bizarre. They killed it with Prosim pazi da mi ne pohodiš podočnjakov (though let's be real, Milanov's solo sucked, and honestly, nobody can pull that off besides Ota) and Za šizofrenike (I went absolutely feral for that one, felt like I was the only person there who actually knew the lyrics...)—but after those first few tracks, I was just annoyed. I kept hoping I’d finally get to hear Lipa or Pajac live... but nothing.

Am I tripping, or are things still super tense between them? There was barely any talking among themselves, and considering how short the show was and the lack of an encore, I really got the vibe they couldn't wait to get away from each other. And it didn't even feel like they were vibing with us in the crowd (not that we were doing much, I'm still feeling a bit hungover this morning). Tiha voda was great, and a couple of other songs hit the spot, but compared to the high bar they used to set, this concert wasn't anything special. That said, the emotional energy from the crowd was intense. Along with us old-timers, there was a huge group of younger fans who probably missed their earlier shows, but they already know most of the lyrics by heart and were having a blast.

All in all, objectively speaking, it was just okay. Subjectively, though, to quote Balašević, it means a lot to me...

Honestly, I thought it was phenomenal. Even though a few of my favorites were missing, it felt great to get lost in Prislan and the sun out in Chicago and those quiet waters. You could probably find something to complain about, but I didn't notice any flaws yesterday because I was too busy soaking in the vibe of being back on the francak, which I’d really missed.

As for the relationships... there's definitely some truth to that. I hadn't really considered it, even though those clues stormyviper11 mentioned point right in that direction...

I honestly doubt money is what’s driving this for Hungry Joe. This band has never been about playing it safe, nor have they ever made enough music to actually live off of—and those few bucks they pulled in at the venue wasn't exactly a jackpot. As for the communication breakdown and that general vibe that things aren't quite right? I’d say their sudden sobriety might be the real culprit here. I still remember the last time I caught Hungry Joe live back in '91 in Chicago; they were handing out cans of beer on stage to the crowd, just being generous like that, and the whole show was nothing but a massive party.
