I actually feel sorry for you. One day, I’ll look back on my time at the festival with nothing but great memories. What about you?
I know a friend who attended the festival as an accredited organizer for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Well, she gets checked into her hotel room only to find a snake waiting for her. Since she isn't exactly a "snake lover"—despite being a hardcore cinephile—she bolted to the front desk to complain about her unannounced roommate. "Just stomp on it with those shoes!" the polite receptionist/owner(?) suggested, nodding toward her high-heeled sandals. When that didn't quite sit right with her, the guy doubled down: "We have some antivenom in the cabinet, but we've never actually had to use it before!"
It ended well enough because the snake—apparently shamed by the commotion—slithered off to another room. That didn't exactly fix the issue with sand leaking out of the faucets, but honestly, maybe this year the city was more like Baghdad, and our London makeup artist friend was too oblivious to notice.
