Honestly, you shouldn't be buying pre-built rigs anyway. They usually just pack them with cheap power supplies, mediocre motherboards, and weird component combos they're struggling to offload...

Crucial DDR3 4GB 1600MHz, JM1600KLH-4G_BULK
Intel Core i5-4440
MS PLUTOS case without PSU
WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 3 WD10EZEX Hard Drive
XFX Pro Series CoreEdition 80 450W PSU, XFX-P1-450S-X2B9
Zalman CPU Cooler 92mm Execute, ZAL-CNPS5X PERFORMA
Samsung DVD±RW 24x black, bulk
ASRock 970 EXTREME3 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX Series, XFX-FX-785A-CDJ4

Total: $580.00+$27 shipping Amazon.com

That's the cash price... I guess it depends on how you're paying and what you actually need this thing for.

The PC is mostly for home use... though for younger people running various programs, it’s vital that it doesn't lag and stays fast enough...
payment depends on necessity, although the initial plan is to pay in installments...

1 x Zalman Z1 Mid Tower Case, 199(W)x432(H)x457(D)mm, ATX Standard
1 x ASRock B85 Pro4, s1150, Haswell

$1214 At Best Buy... if you pay in installments, it’s about $1333.

Nothing intense, maybe just one or two titles like PES or Grand Theft Auto 4/5...🙂

Man, comparing Grand Theft Auto 4/5 to PES is like night and day when it comes to how much juice they need from a PC. 😬

Maybe grab a dedicated graphics card later on? I guess you might be able to limp through PES using just the integrated graphics on the i5.

That really depends on which programs we're talking about. Are we looking at heavy-duty professional software or just basic Office apps?

Take the build I put together above, for instance—it's a true all-rounder. It features a solid processor, plenty of RAM, and a reliable graphics card for gaming, all while staying at a great price point.

Generally speaking, paying upfront with cash is the better move; you usually save about 10%, and you can opt for cash on delivery.
