Best dumb movie?

Look, Where's My Car is an absolute blast—it’s incredibly stupid, obviously, but that’s exactly why it works.

Yeah, and don't even get me started on Not Another Teen Movie.

It seems pretty much any movie touched by Jim Abrahams is a lost cause. ("Top Secret!", "Airplane!", "Golden Gun", "What a Guy"). These films are absolutely moronic, but damn it, whenever they show up on TV, I just can't help myself. The jokes are so incredibly stupid that they become genuinely hilarious.

One has to distinguish these from movies that actually attempted to be good but ended up being total disasters (like "Zardoz" or "The Swarm").
Unlike true trash cinema, John Abraham's movies actually intend to be funny; it's just that the humor is so fundamentally dumb that they aren't funny in a traditional sense—they're only funny because the jokes are so poorly conceived that they loop back around to being hysterical...

Commando. There’s just no competition. I mean, sure, Dumb and Dumber had a way bigger budget, but that doesn't mean it can compete with a masterpiece of stupidity.

Look, Commando is essentially the gold standard. It is intentional trash, much like the work of John Carpenter—think Escape from L.A., Ghost of Mars, or Big Crowd. They are incredibly fun and completely caricatured. They aren't actually "dumb" movies; they only seem that way to people who don't get it, because those people mistakenly assume the film was trying to be serious.

The Matrix is just kind of dumb...

Nah, it doesn't hold a candle to Commando. Commando is the absolute gold standard.😁

Oh yeah... Zardoz! I was absolutely dying laughing at that one.

And then there's Home Alone, especially that scene where they break into the house...
