It’s true enough, provided there are actually people interested in making it happen... 🙂
As for me, just make sure you save a spot for a wide receiver, haha... 😁

So, we’re saying I’m stepping in as the Safety, then? Agreed? 🙄

Best,
P.S. Brush your teeth... unless you want the girls to run.

Way to go, Rita!
Man, I couldn't agree more with what you said!
The hardest part is just getting the ball rolling.
I can't type much right now—fingers crossed my PC actually stays running long enough... sigh...
But, I just wanted to put this out there:
If you're interested or if you know anyone else who might be, hit me up or reach out to Lawrence Peterson82.
We only need about 5 or 6 people to get this game started!
Talk soon!
Excuse my American...

The Junior World Cup is going down in Moscow right now.

If you actually care about following the action, here's the info:

Or check the local site:

Later. 😉

Hey there!

I was just wondering if anyone out here in Chicago wants to get started—whether you want to actually play, learn the ropes, or just get a better feel for American football.

Look, I know it’s going to be a steep learning curve at first,

but honestly, it feels like the perfect time for the sport to really take off here in the States!

All it takes is a little bit of passion...

I'll be waiting for you guys.

PS: Sorry if my English is a bit rough...

American football: five seconds of action, a full minute of dead air, five seconds of play, another minute of nothingness...👎 👎

If it’s really that "easy"...

Why don't you just give it a shot?

From where I'm sitting, even two seconds of play seems like way too much for you to handle...

But hey—maybe if you actually put in some training—you might manage to survive five seconds...

See ya!

PS: It's usually better to try something before talking trash about it... you know, so you actually have a clue what you're talking about... just a thought. Ciao.

PPS: Sorry about my American...

It honestly feels like even two seconds of game time is pushing your attention span to the absolute limit.

Look, if you actually put in the work and train, maybe you won't pass out after five seconds.

😁
I'm bored out of my mind. Watching. And instead of actually playing, they just sit there. 😉

What exactly is so boring to you?

I’m not sure if you’ve ever actually played American football... but I really don't see how it could be dull...

I mean, it depends on your definition of "boring"... for instance, I find soccer incredibly tedious—sorry, not sorry—but I just don't get how people can watch a match that ends 0-0 just because it was a "solid defensive result" for both sides.

I’d much rather watch tennis; at least with every single point, there's some actual action happening...

Hockey isn't boring to me, and neither is basketball... or boxing...

But man, soccer... even if I had played it, I don't think I could stomach it.

As for baseball, I can't really weigh in since I've never played it or watched it.

But I truly don't get how American football could be boring: when you're out there playing, those 40 seconds of "downtime" between plays are absolutely essential—believe me, you need them—and when you're watching, it's the perfect time to catch the instant replays...

Anyway, fair enough, everyone has their own thing. Right?

PS: Sorry if my English is a bit rough...

I'm in. I've been riding with the Steelers for years now, and honestly, it’s about damn time they actually pulled it together and won something.

I used to play amateur rugby for quite a while... if you’re actually looking for something legitimately brutal, that's the game for you. You've got plenty of options too, with various regional leagues and clubs like the San Francisco Fog or the teams out of Chicago. 🙂

If my writing is a total mess... please, just tell me!

That’s probably the only reason I haven't heard back on my questions yet...

I was basically asking, "Is there anyone actually interested in playing, or is anyone already out there playing American football?"

Either everyone else completely missed the point of what I wrote—in which case, my bad—or they're the ones at fault for not posting stuff in the right sections...

Who knows...

Later 😁

Also, I totally checked out around the 14th difference because the ending was just hideous. That second quarter absolutely trashed them, especially that intercepted pass. 😢

I didn't even realize they were showing it on ESPN. I just happened to flip the channel while I was waiting for some tennis to start. 😁

Is the Super Bowl going to be broadcast this Sunday??

I’m guessing kickoff is around midnight!?!

Think the New England Patriots can pull it off again this time??

With a defense like that and a flexible offense led by Tom Brady, it's a no-brainer for me.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the drive, but let's see if they actually deliver.

Even if it doesn't air on the local networks, it'll be on PBS. I already checked the schedule—it starts around midnight.

I honestly despise this game, where every single play gets halted the moment some player’s knee brushes against the 👎
...

It feels to me like most other sports just have way too much "dead time" built into them...

Well, nothing for it—better to actually try playing before talking big... and maybe twice if you're feeling brave...

If that guy actually takes the field, things are going to get wild—but if he sits this one out, I’m calling it now: it’ll be a smooth ride for the Patriots.
By the way, did you guys ever settle on a plan for getting together to play? Personally, I’d love to give flag football a shot to start with, and then who knows where we might go from there.
Also, can someone point me in the right direction for picking up a football around Washington, D.C.? Mine popped, and I’ve been hunting all over the city with no luck—the only thing I could find was a rugby ball, which just won't do!

Order online😉
We’re throwing a whole party at our place today, just doing the usual thing—making a massive batch of chicken wings, cracking open some beers, and letting the good times roll. A group of us are heading over later to watch the Super Bowl, and we even have some betting pools going, though honestly, I have absolutely no clue how I placed my bets; I just scribbled down some numbers someone gave me and now we'll just have to see what happens. My husband handles all that logistics stuff for me, he's the one who coordinates everything. As for who's actually playing, I haven't really been following the season, but let's be real, I’m mostly just tuning in to see the commercials😁😁. There’s always a chance some celebrity does something wild in an ad and makes it worth watching. What day is it again? I’m catching some handball first, and then it's straight to the party to celebrate our gold medalists🙂 and Lindsey Vonn😁
