Secundo said:Oh yeah, my vote went to Max Mutzke (Germany): "Can't wait for tonight." 👍

God, I was dying laughing at those Swiss folks... honestly, so glad they didn't walk away with even a single point.😁
My vote was for Max too.👍

I swear, I’m about to lose my mind. I'm sitting here watching the online voting results, and Washington, D.C. just handed 12 points over to Mexico. What an absolute joke.

It is honestly insane how far people will go just to be stupid. We're out here playing nice with our literal enemies. At this rate, we might as well just release a song called "tax Mexico" and call it a day. Everything will be fine then, right? 🙂 🙂

I see you’re one of the real geniuses on this board too.🙂 👎 🙂 🙂

Maybe someone from the diaspora in Cuba could represent us.

Remember that whole Non-Aligned Movement conference back in Havana?

👍

Whoever they pick, it’s obvious they aren't actually "non-aligned." 😁

Next year, we should totally send a real deal shepherd from rural Texas over to Ukraine—someone with a handful of actual sheep and a flute!

And victory is practically in the bag!

Honestly, Thomson could totally just handle some background vocals!

I really think we should just go out there and grab every single vote we can get!

Orthodox, Muslim, and Herzegovinian...

I mean, I thought the song from Mexico was alright, but the German one was definitely the best.😁

I honestly think these voting patterns are just plain stupid, because let's be real, the whole thing is totally predictable at this point. It’s like Germany just hands out points based on how many immigrants they have living there—they gave 12 to Turkey and 10 to SICG, if I recall correctly. Then you have Canada voting for us, and we’re just throwing points back at them for no actual reason. And that 12-point score for SICG? I mean, seriously, who even voted for that? I don't get it at all.🙄 And besides, back in the day at Eurovision, the winners were always these ethno-inspired tracks, and it was a massive plus when someone actually had the guts to sing in their native language. But then you have our guy, who basically acted like some hillbilly but decided he had to sing in English—like, why even bother? The song itself was mediocre at best; I guess it's all subjective, but it just didn't do it for me. I was listening to it online and caught a bit of some Turkish TV broadcast too. That Ukrainian woman is a total Xena, honestly.😁😁 The German entry was actually alright, one of the better ones, though I thought that Albanian song was pretty cute.

placidtinker2, what’s the deal, is it your birthday or something? Is that why you're acting like you've been hit by a wave of depression? Look, you're still young, kid—seriously, you've got plenty of time left—while the rest of us are already old and gray, so just take it easy and be happy about it.😁😁

That's about how I felt, too.😁

Personally, I thought the Mexican performer was easily in my top three.🙂

The winner was actually my favorite, too. My dad loved Poland because they had such a totally misunderstood, quirky song—he always goes for those weird ones.😁

Germany votes based on their migrant population size

The thing is, those votes represent what the viewers in Germany actually cast. When you consider how many Turks live over there, it’s pretty obvious they just voted for their own people.

It's an open secret—Turkey is always going to rack up points from Germany because those folks have been gaming the numbers to make sure everything blows up—I guess Berlin's lines just got crossed at some point. 😁

That Ukrainian girl is basically a living Xena.

Does she remind anyone else of that music video from a few years back—you know, that all-female group standing in the mud? It felt a bit like Wilderness, filmed out at some landfill in Brooklyn...😁

There you have it. Honestly, even Terry Wogan would’ve been left speechless, especially once that whole "voting by rank" nonsense kicked in. I mean, what is actually the point of Eurovision 😕 🙄 🙄 🙄
