Hey
I need some build advice.
Budgeting about $1,600 for this rig.
Targeting 1080p at 144 Hz.
I'm aiming for an RTX 3070 or a 6700 XT based on the 60 fps targets I expect from most of my online games.

I need a solid 144Hz, 1ms monitor, roughly 23 inches.
A high-quality power supply (80+ Gold).
Cooling is huge for me, so please suggest a decent aftermarket cooler.

Pre-built setups from Future, Acquisition, or Best Buy would work too, provided I can tweak them a bit to make them acceptable.

Thanks

Everything is 5, but... why on earth are we running 1080p on a rig like this?

1. 1080p at 150fps beats 4k at 30-60fps any day of the week.
2. That’s basically my reality for the next few years.

The 3070 is really the sweet spot if you're looking for high refresh rates at 1440p.
I suppose it’s honestly kind of a waste to pair a card like that with just a 23" monitor.

Most modern AAA titles are barely hitting 60 fps at 1440p. You aren't even getting close to high refresh rates because the frame rates just aren't there.
In a few years, things are only going to get worse.

Plus, I don't even have the desk space for a bigger monitor.

I’d appreciate any other suggestions you guys have.

Thx..

Are you running out of horizontal space or something? I was actually just about to suggest picking up a 1080p ultrawide monitor for you.
By the way, I’ve been wondering, do you really think you need those massive AAA titles to justify jumping up to 4K resolution?
