The Max FSB was sitting right at 500MHz, but I'm really feeling optimistic that I can squeeze out an extra 10 or 15MHz if I just bump up the voltage a bit...

That wall is a common headache with all the Series 2 and 4 chips. Most Core 2 Duo E8400 models will breeze past 500MHz, and if you’ve got a solid enough board, those newer E8400s can even crack the 600MHz mark.🙂
Daniel Nguyen3 said:but if the processor itself is the bottleneck, why on earth does it demand 1.6 Vcore at 380 FSB (3.4GHz), then jump to 1.63-1.64 at 385, and then just flat out refuse to even boot into Windows once I hit 390...
2.9 ghz - stock 1.325v
3.2ghz - 1.45v
3.4ghz - 1.6v
the Vcore requirements are just absolutely insane...
this L2 stepping is total junk......
I can't even get Super Pi to run at 3.4ghz (using that realtime priority setting), because after I dialed everything back down to 2.4ghz, I just don't have the patience to try booting it up again, my nerves are shot...😁

If the answer to all that is "yes"—then give Razer a call. 😁
Personally, I don't mess around with my gear unless I absolutely have to. 😍

Regarding the Razer part, I'm seeing the same link used for both the DS3 and the DS3-R.
The specifications match up perfectly; there isn't really any other way to look at it. I've compared everything, and it all lines up.
We can just disregard that last question.😍
