dang it... you just reminded me, so I went to check and nothing's here yet!!! seriously?! how long does it take for those damn FedEx packages to get from Austin to NYC?

It says two days officially, but I know from experience it takes about five or six days to get mail from New York to Los Angeles.

Sent this over quite a while ago. I think it was a Friday...

It was last Friday, about ten days ago. Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if they misplaced them; that seems to be the norm whenever I send stuff out.
It’s not a huge deal, though. I'll just send them over again...

Honestly, the album The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place is an absolute masterpiece that everyone on this planet needs to experience at least once. 🙏 That’s pretty much my entire manifesto, so feel free to ignore this thread for the next six years. 😁

Yasmin The Light and The Moon is Down are true anthems, and honestly, everything from Explosions in the Sky after that point just doesn't quite measure up...

Both are absolute legends, but personally, I’m leaning more toward The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place 🙂
When I just have them playing in the background, everything starts to sound pretty similar—kind of melancholic, maybe even a little cold at times—but honestly, they make for such an incredible backdrop for whatever I'm doing! But man, when you actually sit down and really *listen*? They absolutely floor you. It's just this massive wave of raw emotion and pure catharsis... they're stunning 😍 those slow guitar crescendos of theirs feel like the very definition of post-rock, at least the modern kind. I mean, most bands aren't even technically classified as post-rock anymore, but you know what I mean 🤷

Because they haven't been around since then, 😢 apparently because they're "too big" now 🙄 or signed to some evil major label or something...

They're out on tour this year, but the closest they'll be getting to us is Cincinnati...

To me, they're just an okay band—nothing special, honestly a bit slimy and derivative.
