W.A.S.P. is an absolute powerhouse. Honestly, it’s a shame we don't see bands like them anymore—they just feel so unique. Those first five albums, in particular, hit that perfect sweet spot where they're heavy enough to matter, but still carry that glam metal edge I really dig. Here is my personal Album Tracklist:

8. Heaven Has Hung in Black

They’re right at the top of my all-time favorites list. Such a unique sound, and that vocals? Top tier, even if some people try to debate it. I wouldn't call them Glam metal at all; to me, they are pure Heavy metal. They basically only got stuck with that "Glam Metal" label because of how they looked, but honestly, plenty of Thrash metal bands looked just as flashy, so who cares. Plus, coming out of that L.A. scene alongside bands like Mötley Crüe probably played a part in it. 🤷
Without a doubt, my favorite album is The Last Command.
They played a show in Chicago a few years back, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it. I'm still holding out hope they'll keep their word and tour the States again. 😢

For me, *Last Command* and *Headless Children* are the absolute peaks—though *Dominator* isn't half bad either, especially "Heaven Has Hung in Black." That track is easily their second best ballad, right after "The Idol." And just to be clear, Michelle Long73, I never said they were strictly glam metal—I just meant those first three albums definitely have that glam undertone.

I agree on the ballad. 👏 As for the other part—we totally misunderstood each other. I wasn't talking about what you said specifically; I was just speaking generally since so many people categorize them as glam. 🙂 Sure, some tracks have that glam vibe. Just like you said, mostly in the beginning.

I’d highly recommend checking it out!
For me personally, it’s way better than the latest stuff from Iron Maiden, Motörhead, AC/DC, or Judas Priest...
And I’m definitely part of that crowd that basically grew up on those bands back in the 80s...
