goldberry said:Look, I don't want to be the one to rain on everyone's parade here, but we need to have a serious conversation about this lineup. I’m not trying to kill the vibe, but let’s look at who is actually pulling the strings behind this concert. The organizers are the exact same crew that "managed" the Rolling Stones show in Washington, D.C. last year—and by managed, I mean they completely botched it. To make matters worse, the lead organizer is currently sitting in a federal penitentiary for tax evasion. On top of that, they’re facing a mountain of lawsuits from a massive group of fans who bought and paid for Stones tickets and never saw a single cent of their refunds. I've seen this movie before, and it usually ends badly for the fans. Just a heads-up.

Well, there you have it. After everything that went down, he managed to pull off several concerts that actually made it to fruition, so I suppose there’s still a glimmer of hope left.

May we live to see the day!

Regarding my previous point: the claim that Marian Crnaric is actually an undercover operative is something we need to look at closely.😁

Even a corpse would be headbanging to that track.

That would be a sight for sore eyes!😁 😁 😁

I was out in Budapest back in '99 during the Garage Inc. tour, and man, I realized then that they basically play the same 20-ish songs every single night. Honestly, nothing has changed since then. Sure, they might toss in a couple of newer tracks here and there, but it’s always the staples—One, Master of Puppets (usually a shortened version though), Thing That Should Not Be, Of Wolf and Men, Creeping Death, Nothing Else Matters, Sad But True, all that good stuff. Back then, Whiskey in the Jar was massive, but they never played it; instead, with Garage Inc., they stuck to Die, Die My Darling and Breadfan (an older cover).
That said, I was actually pretty surprised when they played Fight Fire with Fire—that's one of my favorites, haha.
Look, they aren't crazy or anything—they know exactly what the crowd wants to hear, so they just give it to them.
See you there.

They were swapping up the setlist quite a bit during the SS tour last year.
Of course, certain staples like Master of Puppets always make the cut, but they also shook things up by pulling more tracks from those first four albums.
There’s basically nothing from Load, and even Fuel from Reload isn't really in the rotation anymore.

The focus shifted toward Kill 'Em All era tracks—stuff like No Remorse, Seek & Destroy, Whiplash, and Hit the Lights.
From Ride the Lightning, they played Fight Fire with Fire, Ride the Lightning, and Creeping Death🙏 often, along with For Whom the Bell Tolls and Fade to Black. From the MOP album, you'd get Master of Puppets, Battery, Damage Inc., Thing That Should Not Be, and Welcome Home. From AJFA, they went with Blackened, One, and Harvester of Sorrow.

As for the Black Album, they stick to Sad But True, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman.
From St. Anger, it's been Frantic, St. Anger, The Unnamed Feeling, and Dirty Window.

That covers most of what they've played since St. Anger dropped. If I remember correctly, they even threw Leper Messiah into the mix once.

Anyway, here is the link

Metallica? Are they going to have some big-shot opening acts? If so, I'm definitely going.

It’s almost identical to a very similar position, wouldn't you say?😲

Let me spoil the surprise for you—before they play "Nothing Else Matters," James and Rob might just step away from the stage while Lars and Kirk pretend to have a little spat. Then comes the switcheroo: Lars grabs the guitar, Kirk hops onto the drums—though I suppose Kirk might try playing the guitar with a drumstick first just for the hell of it—and they kick off that intro as a bit of a gag. If they decide to play "Thing That Should Not Be," Rob and Lars might even perform a brief intro without James or Kirk being on stage at all. Anyone who was actually at the Iron Maiden show will tell you—they don't put on such a "plastic" performance. James interacts with the crowd, Lars leaps from the drum kit, and Rob? Well, Rob sprints across the stage, jumping and spinning in circles.
James also made a comment regarding the songs from the *Anger* era—suggesting that the drumming patterns are all essentially identical, just pathetic repetitions of the same rhythm—but, of course, he noted we shouldn't tell anyone that.

Just one more thing—right before the final track blasts through the speakers, they play AC/DC's "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll")
—then the lights cut out and "Ecstasy of Gold" begins—so, I suppose that should help you pinpoint the exact moment.

Honestly, I find the way Rob stands there on stage just so incredibly provocative, with his legs spread out like that. It’s such a bold presence, isn't it?😢 😢
I mean, I've already heard those same comments regarding "Ecstasy of Gold" and "It's a Long Way to the Top," haven't I?🙂

Isn't there some talk floating around that the actual date is July 26th?

I’m not entirely sure...
But I don't quite grasp why you felt the need to start a whole new thread—there's already an existing one right down below here:

It's still the 27th. 06.
This ties right back into the original thread.

Fine then.
I guess I'll just have to go back and double-check my calendar again... 😁

But I don't get why you started a new thread when there's already one right below this:
http://www.forum.com/showthread.php?threadid=38210

Everything you need is listed there.

I was rushing and didn't check... is this better now???
And honestly, my bad for being reckless with how I used the Internet Explorer browser... truly, sorry about that.

Also, any idea what tickets will cost? (I'm guessing around $200-$100). We'll have to find a way to sneak in through the field somehow... or maybe we just camp out under the stage a few days early...

Does anyone have a plan for getting into the concert for free? Maybe some scheme involving airport service tunnels or something similar???
