Any sci-fi movie recommendations?

I mean, come on, it’s an absolute cult classic.
I'd love to give it a rewatch if I could actually figure out where to find it. 🙂

Here’s a legendary cult classic from the "Black Star" collection. First person to guess who directed this wins a beer!

I was reading somewhere that this whole thing was shot for just a few thousand bucks (it was actually Carpenter's thesis film), and they used typewriters glued onto plywood to pass for computers. 🙂

If you’re looking for a cult classic, you absolutely have to check out Peter Jackson's debut, Bad Taste. It was actually pretty tough for me to track down originally, but it's definitely worth the hunt.

I managed to grab a copy on Kazaa, just like I did with Brain Dead.

Personally, I’m a fan of Forbidden Planet (believe it or not, it actually stars Leslie Nielsen, and it isn't some cheap parody)...that whole "monsters of ID" bit is just great stuff. Really cool film.

Then there's Labyrinth—Jennifer Connelly was incredible in that one. 🙂

And whatever happened to Tron? 🙏 🙏

People have summarized the whole thing for me and it sounds absolutely wild!
As for the original Planet of the Apes movie... it's pretty much unbeatable... well, except maybe for 2001: A Space Odyssey... though honestly, that one is kind of a letdown if you haven't read the book first!🙂

Even after you finish the book, it’s still a letdown...

Forget sci-fi if there isn't any grit, mayhem, or high-stakes combat!

A total masterpiece from '82. It’s old school, sure, but honestly? I still can't find anything that touches it.🙂
