I’ve got a quick question here:
What’s actually the big deal? I mean, if everyone has the right to share their thoughts on this forum—where's the issue?
Look, I get it—no "ad hominem" attacks or straight-up insults. But doesn't everyone have the right to take a side or defend a certain point?
A forum is meant for debate, but there's such a thin line between a heated discussion and a total blowout... It feels like some people are just being way too sensitive...
The moderator is supposed to be here to keep things from turning into a circus and make sure we stay on topic—not to play bodyguard for some users while favoring others...
So—seriously—what's the actual problem? Because I'm genuinely lost.

Alright, here's the deal: I've locked this thread because things got way out of hand with the constant poking, trolling, and the massive clashes between different groups here.

That said, it’s not fair to punish everyone for the actions of a few, so I'll be reopening the thread shortly. However, expect much stricter rules and a lot more warnings and bans. Any sign of the behavior mentioned above will be dealt with immediately.

I hope those who haven't done anything wrong feel okay with this move, and hopefully, the troublemakers will take a moment to actually think before they type next time.

Greetings, everyone!

I see the debate has spilled over here as well. I personally voted to keep this thread open—because locking a discussion like this just isn't fair to those who actually follow the rules. If someone needs to be penalized, shouldn't we target the specific individuals breaking the guidelines rather than punishing everyone?

As for everything else... just a bit of friendly advice—though I'm sure you've heard it all before?😁But... if someone is just trolling—don't feed them! Honestly—what needs to be done simply must be done! 😉

I am looking forward to our next conversation on the main thread—hopefully, it will be soon? 😁 👋

I don't think we should jump straight into conspiracy theories.
Just like moderators don't vote against a topic, it’s unlikely they’re playing favorites. It seems improbable that they'd protect anyone—especially Michael Ramos4, who probably gives them more work through her posts than the average user does. 😁

Personally, I'm not in favor of banning people.
The internet should be a free space, and it's up to the individual to not abuse that freedom or use it for something nasty.
Even when that happens, whether it's intentional or just an accident, I still wouldn't support a ban. That really should be the absolute last resort, reserved for truly extreme behavior after everything else has been exhausted.

I joined the discussion later, after episode 30, and since then, I've seen Michael Ramos4 go gray (banned) for three days at least once. Even if some people think otherwise, she has been penalized. I won't get into the specifics of how or why, because I don't follow that closely, but I did see her status change.

And even though I personally disagree with her views, and I truly believe she trolls on purpose (it's hard to imagine missing the plot that many times and writing the exact opposite of what happened by pure accident 😁), she does it very smartly and with style.
She ignites discussions. Sometimes that fire warms things up, and sometimes it’s the kind of fire that destroys everything in its path.
But she does it so calmly and cleverly, balancing brilliantly right on the edge of what's punishable, while we all get worked up, react emotionally, and end up crossing that line ourselves. 😳
So, maybe there are more warnings issued to those who understand FedEx and try to defend it, making it look like the mods are protecting Michael Ramos4, but I doubt that's the case (there's a better chance we all win the Powerball jackpot along with her). 😁

I decided to cast my vote to open this thread because I don't think we need such a "drastic cut," though, to be fair, I totally get why the mods reacted the way they did….
This forum is supposed to be our little corner of the internet where we can hang out and share our thoughts on the show, the plot, or the characters without looking over our shoulders…
Honestly, I don't see the point in constantly feeling the need to argue with people who just don't see things our way. I feel like we first need to learn how to actually accept the people around us—and by that, I mean learning to listen (or in this case, read!)—because at the end of the day, we’re all just writing about fictional characters and made-up stories through our own unique lenses. It's all about how we personally experience them. After all, our perspectives are shaped by a million different factors and our own personal beliefs...
It’s always so fascinating to me how some people have this deep-seated compulsion to convince everyone else that they're wrong..
Look, if I love a certain character, the entire forum could disagree, and I’m still going to love them. If I can't stand a character, even if everyone else thinks they're amazing, well, I'm still not a fan... I really don't see any reason why we all have to have identical tastes or write the exact same thing..
This isn't our "private" living room, and I honestly have no idea where people get the nerve to try and "claim territory" or attack anyone with a different opinion, even in a virtual space. Sometimes you seriously need nerves of steel just to stay on a forum when dealing with short-tempered users and their constant attacks. But more importantly, we need to bring a sense of basic decency and the ability to accept others—flaws, virtues, and everything else we bring into this "digital world"... if we can't manage that, it would be such a shame to see the whole community blow up because of it…
Trying to force your views on everyone else and acting like you've "conquered" the space just isn't right..
So, after all that, let's just embrace the idea of coexisting online with people who are different from us. We aren't some group of psychic twins who are destined to agree on every single post. Let's stop pointing fingers and searching for someone to blame...
Let's all start by taking a good, hard look in the mirror instead!!!

In the end, we really should thank the moderators for having such incredible patience and staying calm during these "crisis moments."

Correction on that inaccurate claim... she was banned twice in one week and got x number of warnings and points.😁

Why do you think I'm doing this on purpose? What makes you think that? I've always said the same thing... I haven't changed my mind... out of all the posts I've written... not a single one... not even two sentences were meant to troll. I'm constantly in these threads... which means I didn't just barge in with some agenda. On other topics where I've posted, I've had opponents and people who disagree with me, but also people who think like I do... and I've never once burst into a thread just to stir the pot. That isn't my style or my level. I never go behind anyone's back, even in this digital space, because there are real people behind these usernames—people I genuinely care about and love across all the forums I participate in. I'm calm because I have nothing to hide and nothing to fear. I always stand by what I write. Honestly, it's pointless to have to justify my thoughts and writings just because someone thinks I'm trolling. I've never experienced this on any other thread, where someone calls me out and labels me a troll, and frankly, I don't even get the concept. My two and a half thousand posts speak for themselves, so there's no need to defend myself. If I happen to think like a few others—who might be fewer in number, but they exist—who cares? Who does it hurt or threaten? Anyone can see what I wrote and where. Seriously... if I were trolling, would I really need to recount half a series and write this much text in the comments?🙄..you guys are all talking about trolling and me.

btw...the plot in this show...the scenes and the subtitles showing what characters said...it’s not just that. There’s something else there...something in between...that everyone interprets and experiences differently. It's reading between the lines. Nothing is ever exactly how it looks or what we see...not in a series, and definitely not in real life. You can analyze everything and find answers... right? It’s not like we know everything instantly. Same goes for the show... everyone has their own take and vision. If you think the plot missed the mark... fine... I missed it... who cares? But I can also have an opinion that someone else missed the point. Who gets to be right? What's the truth? Who's wrong? Nobody and everybody. Everyone is right in their own way. Why complicate things or judge people? What's even the point?

I’d also add that the moderator's signature Nathan Turner3 is phenomenal... too bad it's in fine print.

Michael Ramos4, I actually said you've been at least once (meaning one or more times) banned, so that isn't an accurate quote. 😁

As for how you interpret sentences, I guess I can agree with you there. Everyone perceives things differently, I suppose.
It's just that you seem to be describing the opposite of what actually happened, rather than just sharing your own perspective.

Because there’s a big difference between saying—I think this sentence meant this (or that's just how I felt about it)—versus claiming that, say, Scarlett Johansson says men are just like movie characters and then mocking her for it, when in reality she was telling Grace that men aren't actually like they are in movies; they can act that way even when they don't want to.
And stuff like that.
That's usually considered trolling.

The same goes for my posts or anyone else's when we use irony, like—just using myself as an example so nobody gets offended—everyone would be absolutely perfect if FER hadn't lied, or how Dawn is such a wonderful creature, or Jane is basically an intergalactic symbol of peace and logic. 😁

You explained that perfectly.😉
It's just like calling Cassie some pathetic girl whose life was stolen by Scarlett Johansson (what kind of life did she even have? 😕 ) while totally ignoring all the crap she pulled on Scarlett for absolutely no reason (before she even found out about Adam and her).

Or turning a blind eye to Hannah, who basically tried to ruin Scarlett's life out of pure spite just because "the love of her life" fell for her, so obviously it's Scarlett's fault and she deserves every bit of the garbage Hannah threw at her.☕

Honestly, I'm just surprised there aren't any excuses lined up for Henry yet...🙂

You’re skipping class here. He was actually totally fine until Disney drove him absolutely crazy. ☕

But honestly (hand on heart), even Dawn in the show insisted that’s how it was.

So what's the big deal? If Disney forms her opinion on guys based on movies, what am I supposed to think of her? She hasn't left her basement; she hasn't met a single guy up close besides her dad and brother. Where is she getting the idea that men act that way even when they don't want to? It’s not from life experience. It's just from the movies she watched, which she admitted multiple times. Movies aren't real life. You can't take a movie and use it to judge actual people in the real world. It's the exact opposite—we use our own life experience to make sense of a show.😁..so the crap Disney spewed doesn't hold water because we know that's not a rule and doesn't apply to all men.

You have your take on it... fine, write your conclusion. I don't care what anyone thinks or writes; it doesn't change my view of the story. But making fun of Disney? She’s a character in a show, not some random person on a forum. You're allowed to say bad things about a character while other characters are being trashed, right? I can poke fun at side characters, but I can definitely take shots at the lead if there's a reason to. Isn't that how it works?

And you didn't watch the series episode by episode when she could have seen how things played out with Kurt Cobain? 😉

Michael Ramos4, you and I both know the issue isn't about what I think or don't think, or even what you think or don't think.

You mentioned she said the exact opposite of what she actually said—that men are just like they are in the movies, when in reality, she said men aren't like they are in the movies.

But honestly, that’s just one example, I guess.
Whenever I read stuff like this, I just think—oh, they portrayed this completely differently than how it's written—but I can't always remember specifically... though this one came to mind...

And I suppose a smart person learns about life from books, from movies, and from experience itself, whether it's through someone else's mistakes or their own successes.

I definitely voted YES, mostly because this topic is just too fascinating to pass up.

I live for a good debate, provided it isn't stifled; if things get a little heated and "feathers fly" or "crowns slip," well, that’s just part of the game.

When someone puts an opinion out there, they really ought to be prepared to defend it. This isn't some solitary personal blog; it's a forum where, by design, we engage in discourse. Every stance taken naturally invites those who disagree to push back, and I honestly can't wrap my head around why that bothers anyone or why it's viewed as illogical. The nature of the response is always tied to the style of the initial argument—it's all interconnected.

A thread needs interaction to survive—within the rules, obviously—otherwise, it’s just a snooze fest. What kind of community would this be if everyone just dropped their opinion like a mic and then vanished? It’s perfectly logical that people with similar views will cluster together and chat amongst themselves if they can't, won't, or feel it's "too risky" to tackle those with opposing views for fear of getting a little "reprimanded."

If you loosen the reins a bit, you'll find there's much less friction—that's an unwritten rule for you. 😉

@Mina-jasmina, that was a very clear and beautifully articulated breakdown regarding the rules on trolling and the only real remedy. 😁
A troll is essentially a master of deflection. While the actual discussion might be operating at a level 58, a troll is constantly dragging it back down to a 1 or a 10. A seasoned troll does this subtly, persistently, and consistently; sometimes, people even end up trolling without even realizing they're doing it. When a pro troll hits a snag, they start pulling out a whole arsenal of increasingly provocative and grating terms just to bait someone into a reaction. It's actually quite easy to tell the difference between a "clumsy amateur" troll and a "diplomatic" one.

Exactly. And honestly, you can't say that about Disney either. Her mom basically fed her nothing but fairy tales, and she grew up binge-watching those cheesy movies about billionaire playboys falling for girl-next-door types. She’s got zero real-world experience. She hasn't learned a single thing from her own screw-ups or anyone else's, yet she's an absolute pro at lying.
